How does a private landlord evicting tenants equate to the Tories making families homeless?

Hope it works out for these two but it's clearly irresponsible to have a baby when you don't have enough emergency funds to cover 6 months' living expenses. Their £450pcm rent isn't even that much either

the chance to claim furlough .

This family have been evicted because the Government did not support them during the pandemic. It’s as simple as that.

down the country during the pandemic there would be an 80% + fall in evictions now.

Does it not say that homelessness is rising but below pre pandemic levels. That does not appear to indicate that it was/is the pandemic that was the major cause.
The case in question was unfortunate . Enough help financially has been given during the pandemic . Probably more could have been done to help people in his situation .
Perhaps you should mention the good measures that were introduced that helped millions of people survive the pandemic that otherwise would not have done rather than concentrating on this individual.
The fact is that , as usual , plenty of people would have used the pandemic as as excuse not to pay rent. Difficult to separate the honest who are really in need of help , and the cheating scum who rinse the system
