Re: Theo Archibald signs up for a years loan
Another good signing. Rated by Lincoln fans it seems despite the lack of appearances. Seems injuries played their part in keeping him at arms length of regular first team action.
Watching his goals from the past few years, he looks technically very good. A fair few long range efforts! Crossing also a strong point.

A young kid a long way home from will need our support to get him going - we need to come up with a song for him ASAP.

Re: Theo Archibald signs up for a years loan
Spot on and thatβs the minimum we need, not much time before the start of the season now so if the club are serious about promotion they need to sign the rest pronto.Donβt want any excuses for poor results due to failing to have a full squad ready to go from day one.

Re: Theo Archibald signs up for a years loan
I'd imagine Adam Thompson/Craig Clay will cover at RB if needed.
Judging by his performances in pre season and regular selection, the club look set to pursue with Matt Young in the squad, so I think he will be the cover/extra dynamic midfielder we in the squad. Would rather we give him a chance than a youngster on loan from another club, he looks a good prospect.
Probably get 2 strikers in depending on how bad Drinans injury is.

Had a look through his details on Wiki. I'm afraid I'm a bit worried.

Wikipedia is amazing, one of the best thing on the internet for me.Max B Gold wrote: βFri Jul 30, 2021 11:14 am Had a look through his details on Wiki. I'm afraid I'm a bit worried.
I just paid my yearly donation to help keep in going.
Going back to Theo Archibald, well tall for a winger at 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) and seems like he might be just another of those ''Might be ''loan signings we have had over the years. The only loan that I can recall ( without going back too long ) in recent years who made a really big impression and contribution was Ebou Adams.

Far more important things to worry about than Leyton Orient FC.Max B Gold wrote: βFri Jul 30, 2021 3:01 pmStill worried.Sid Bishop wrote: βFri Jul 30, 2021 2:39 pmWikipedia is amazing, one of the best thing on the internet for me.Max B Gold wrote: βFri Jul 30, 2021 11:14 am Had a look through his details on Wiki. Don't really like whisky. All you had to say was everything will be alright, the new signing will rip it up down that right wing like a Peter Marinello and I would have been fine. Used to watch Peter Marinello on the wing for Pompey as a youngster. A very good and exciting player indeed...

Re: Theo Archibald signs up for a years loan
Still amazed at the constant negativity on this board even after all these years.
Looks a good signing to me, never got a sniff at Lincoln due to Covid and them being genuinely good at a L1 level.
6 in 33 for an average Maccs side from the wing in L2 a couple of years ago is promising, he's a good age and the wing was the position I was most concerned about, seems like excellent business to me.
Feels a little like a Bonne signing this (obviously different position), an out-of-favour player dropping a division to get first team football. After a dodgy year or two I think he'll feel like he has a lot to prove, and can clearly do it the business in L2.
Why on earth are people saying their worried when they've never seen the lad play and he has a decent CV is beyond me. But some people are just pessimistic to the core.
Up the Os.
League 1 next year.
