Joe was a pretty solid left back defo good enough for top conference / mid -low league 2 team. Always put in 100%. Personally was sad to see him go...all round Nice guy. Problem was we have been blessed with some very decent left backs over the last 20 years (locky and Daniels especially ) and unfortunately Joe was never gonna hit those heights. An excellent player for NL. Was very shaky under Steve Davis but improved hugely under JE, was probably our most consistent defender when back in the league as well.

I remember Joe's 1st game for us , i believe it was Sutton away in the conference on TV if I recall rightly he gave away a penalty and got sent off and people were slagging him off big time !! After that he improved immensely and always put in a shift , good luck with Barnet mate

Yes, with Thomas at RB and Doherty LB in the National League this season they should be quite a solid back four . The only thing I can see tripping them up is injuries so they will also need a little bit of luck on that front .I'll be keeping an eye on their results this season. If they also have decent strikers they should be in the promotion race come the end of the season.

He really did have an aversion to the halfway line in his first season. Was much better in the second season. Never could doubt his commitment. Good luck to him.
