Impressive ratings when he was at Wigan for 1st half of last season. Lots of 7 out of 10

I’m surprised it’s only a one year deal. If he does well I hope we have the option of extending his contract for another season

Elvis not joining our building it would seem but Tom James sounds a lot better going on what stats I have seen.

I'm not suprised. Sounds like a good player. He signs for us on a one year deal with the objective of his performances this season securing a lucrative long term deal in summer 2022. We get a very motivated player who is keen to perform well to earn that deal, maybe with us or maybe elsewhere. Win win.

Looks like a decent player from the write-up, but strange IMO that only a one-year contract. Who is hedging their bets?

Since he's only ever played 4 games at L2 level I'd say its probably him.

According to wiki he failed to agree terms on a £400k move to WBA a few years back. Has to be decent.

I would say the club is hedging, if a player is willing to sign for a league 2 club on a year deal then the player needs to prove himself, either to us or to other clubs watching.

I think the club should look at more similar players looking to prove themselves and offer the 1 year. Keeps them on their toes and gives the player a chance to still be in the shop window.

This fella sounds like a huge upgrade on the RB incumbent previously holding that position. :)

Looks to have had a strange career. Ever present for two seasons in a crappy Yeovil side, the second of which saw them relegated to NFL. At the beginning of that season had the opportunity to sign for West Brom but couldn't agree personal terms. Hibs then sign him on a three year deal but never play him so last season he goes on loan to a crappy Wigan side before going on loan to Salford who also never play him. Given he had a year left on his Hibs contract have we paid a fee?

The whole squad set up, reminds me of how Slade recruited.

Players with good calibre not really given a chance elsewhere.

Reminds me of what KJ said in his first interview, we will my sign the best players, but will have a good team (or words to that affect).

It’s probably a bit like what Morecambe did last year too.
