Exactly. Driving whilst sober does not mean you're 100% guaranteed not to crash and injure or kill someone else, so you might as well scrap drink-driving laws for everyone.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:46 am Something that isn't 100% effective = isn't worth worth doing at all, obviously.

Yes. Once you’re double jabbed, you link through and it’s shown on there.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 4:39 pmI imagine it'll be organised via the NHS app which shows your vaccine status
But equally, and I $hit you not, you can log in and say you’ve done a lateral flow test at home that’s negative and that also counts.

Maybe no more deadly (only because its killed off so much of the "low hanging fruit"), but so much more infectious. Not quite time to move on IMO.

It’s not really a further division, is it?Jack wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:46 am This Covid passports stuff is yet another thing to divide us all. Brexit has divided us for a generation, and then along comes Covid to further divide us.
A few years back, the idea of dividing people by whether they have had certain medicines would have been laughed at, because it was so outrageous, but as we slide down the perilous path towards authoritarianism, its something that is considered feasible.
Its a little bit Orwellian IMO, for me, Im afraid

Worth commenting at this point that although we were supposed to wear masks last night, the majority of people were not.
I wonder if the club will step things up on that front?

As we saw at Wembley on Sunday, stewards don't have the training nor the inclination (nor the financial incentive to be frank) to enforce this. Anti mask types are way more likely be belligerent and aggressive, I don't blame them.
Orient being pretty poorly supported means we'll get defacto social distancing at the stadium anyway.

It will be up to the club.
I hope they will do the right thing. But seeing as it wasn’t enforced last night, I doubt it.

Not true, since March 2020, far more people in the UK have died of Covid than have died of the flu.

I think he means now. The daily average is less than flu at the moment

More people died from flu than Covid yesterday?Story of O wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 10:57 am I think he means now. The daily average is less than flu at the moment

Re: Would you support vaccine passports at Orient?
As we know any booster jabs are likely to be more adaptive to new variants of Covid. The current flu jab has always lagged the actual strain. Covid is clearly more infectious than flu, however, the vaccination deployment is far greater, giving a herd immunity that will never be prevalent in flu.

Re: Would you support vaccine passports at Orient?
Of course not, my point is that during the flu season, we as a society accept 50 to 100 deaths a day. We may well have to do the same with CovidRonnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:00 amMore people died from flu than Covid yesterday?Story of O wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 10:57 am I think he means now. Anyone who thinks this is just another tool to divide us needs to check the poll
As the only proper gauge of O's fans on the Internet this forum has come out massively for covid passports
Hopefully Travis is reading it like he says he does and when the club comes out for Covid passports I'll be pleased that I personally have enacted more change at the club in one thread than LOFT do in a year

This is rather amusing, not only have you fallen for an in-joke in believing I work in a car park, you've outed yourself as a sneering piece of sh*t in doing so.BoniO wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:13 pmFantastic. Surely its just as deadly as it always was, its only less deadly to people who have been jabbed?

Re: Would you support vaccine passports at Orient?
This is even more amusing as you've shown that you are incapable of believing anyone else could be "joining in" with your miniscule joke. I've never believed you work in a car park and was always fully aware it was a "joke". You really are quite a stupid turd aren't you (that's not a joke if that helps).Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:18 pmThis is rather amusing, not only have you fallen for an in-joke in believing I work in a car park, you've outed yourself as a sneering piece of sh*t in doing so.BoniO wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:13 pmFantastic. Re: Would you support vaccine passports at Orient?
That is a complete fallacy. Yes, lots of people died within 28 days of testing positive of Covid but a very small number actually died of Covid alone.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 10:55 amNot true, since March 2020, far more people in the UK have died of Covid than have died of the flu.
The average age of Covid deaths was 80.3 years of age. This doesn't justify closing down the whole country for over 18 months imo

Re: Would you support vaccine passports at Orient?
Is there a possibility that you take yourself just a little too seriously? I was making a joke, being complicit in your little jape about working at a car park. Have you had a bad day by any chance Pam? Now go away and play with someone else. Ciao.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 7:30 pmYou were aware but thought, you'd make yourself look like a sneering bellend anywayBoniO wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 7:12 pmThis is even more amusing as you've shown that you are incapable of believing anyone else could be "joining in" with your miniscule joke. Many self appointed experts on this forum and elsewhere who think they know more top scientists, much the same thing goes for climate change deniers.LeytonstoneRed07 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 7:21 pmThat is a complete fallacy.
