Wicket last ball of the day 58-6. This is some match and no sign of Harmer yet.

16 wickets in a day! Does that require an investigation?

It does - Essex batsmen, what on earth are you playing at? And umpires - what were you thinking of with some of the most dubious lbw decisions?

The standard of batting and umpiring in this game is dire, That said the pitch ha# definitely got a bit in it but remember Essex got to 179-5 yesterday so possible to bat on if players apply themselves,

132-5 now Doeschate and Wheater have counter punched nicely but not without the odd scare.

53 - 5 and now almost 350 runs in the lead - you can never rule Essex out! Just when it looks really bleak a couple of batsmen / bowlers turn the game around. Still batting and all the time in the world to bowl Durham out.
