Looks like our ambitions have limits. Looking forward to starting next season with Alabi and Harold up front. A return to the NL beckons.
Here we go...
Bonne was part of a great squad with a great team spirit. He did well because of the squad around him, he played well because he was part of a TEAM that wanted to play football. The core of that team is still very much there. That aside we also have a great coaching team, supported by a brilliant chairman and board. To say we are NL bound is a little negative and little short sighted.
Good luck to Bonne but he has been replaced already with a striker who appears to be just as good if not better at NL level. This club is well organised and will survive L2 if not win it.

Taking the WUM element out of this I do share some of the concern. Before today we needed two quality strikers to replace Simpson and Alabi.
We're now faced with losing 35+ goals a season with Bonne and in all likelihood Koroma moving on. That means 4 need to come in now. If we don't do that and try to cheap out with bringing Alabi back into the squad as the 4th striker I can see us struggling.
Also be prepared for a different style of play if we lose both our pacy strikers.
Will give the new players all the support but we're into a fair chunk of squad rebuild now.

Would be a mistake for Charlton in my opinion- I don't see him being ready for that level yet.
You can just smell certain characters waiting to pile in on the club when one of our players is sold.
Way out of his depth. You have to put away the half chances, something he cannot do. But a sincere good luck to you Macauley, and if you do make out I will be the first to congratulate you.

That's not exactly the case. I don't think we will be replacing Simpson. He came in specifically to cover for Koroma when he was injured. I think we will replace Bonne, Alabi if he goes and Koroma if he goes, but for now, we have enough strikers.

Of course it was tongue in cheek to mention Alabi and Harold as starters. Of course that would never happen and of course the club would replace Bonne and if necessary Koroma. But the point is we are likely to lose a lot of goals with the outgoings and replacing them is never easy. Conor to be fair is probably as good as we are likely to get and given Daggers reaction it’s not a bad replacement. But it has to be a concern that we may well struggle next season. Great if Koroma stays, but I wonder?
Our strike force is Harold, great for impact, Wilkinson who has an iffy record, Koroma and Alabi. The latter may well be in contention if a move away don’t happen. Not much if Koroma and Wilkinson ain’t available. Conor will get time off during the season for sure looking at the yellows he gets.
Depends upon who else the club brings in. But we could be short of goals.
The transfer of Bonne was probably in place before the tragic passing of Justin due to the release clause. The club have always known that a substantial offer would come in for Koroma and like all 2nd division clubs we will more than likely sell. Good business!!
I believe Justin was at the forefront of these decisions and any new signings to replace our forwards was already agreed by the management with Justin in control of which players we would be targeting. In the short time Justin had been at the Orient i have full confidence in any decisions he came to. Perfect example being the signing of Wright in midfield.
Lastly i would like to have a wager with dOh Nut that if we start the first league game with Alabi & Harold up front i will donate £300 to any charity the Edinburgh family decide on. IF he is wrong he can do the same!!

Good luck McCaulay
I'll think he'll do alright for Charlton, a fantastic team player, terrible price though worth double easily, IMO hes better than Koroma,
Koroma has little end product plenty of show, & will never succeed in the championship, why oh why are we so impressed with mazy runs but not many goals, bit Andre Townsendy to me,
at least Bonne scored 19 great goals & 6 penalties.

We’ve just replaced, I don’t expect anyone else to come in unless Josh goes.
Seems a strange move given that Bowyer has just left Charlton over money wrangles.
He must have had discussions with Bowyer and the manager has upped and left on the day he signed.

I'm really disappointed to see Bonne leave so I hope you're right .
