Ling gets a load of sh*t because he's Martin's son, he's actually a solid L2 level player

Re: Match Day Thread vs Mansfield 2nd April 2021
One can't even get a loan to an NL level club and the other has hardly pulled up any trees at that level either. Neither seem much of an improvement on what we'll be releasing.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:18 pmSurely one of Sweeney or Ogie needs a try first?gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:14 pmIt's telling that a loan CM (Marsh) and a loan CB (Akinola) have been better than either of our two RBs on the books. Two new signings required there, plus an LB to compete / cover Widdowson so we never see Brophy wasted back there againSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:08 pm
Not quite. Judd recently showed he should be playing in non league too but sadly he's the alternative to Ling at the moment. Next season we really need to nail down a proper quality starting right back.

I don't believe that to be true . Ling is only good enough now and again which isn't good enoughCurrywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:20 pm Ling gets a load of sh*t because he's Martin's son, he's actually a solid L2 level player

By assist you mean getting his head on a set-piece, not getting it on target but inadvertently redirecting it into the path of DJ? Sure.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:20 pm Ling gets a load of sh*t because he's Martin's son, he's actually a solid L2 level player

He’s not watching, it’s just a wind up. Saw me comment earlier about the assist, that’s all.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:26 pmBy assist you mean getting his head on a set-piece, not getting it on target but inadvertently redirecting it into the path of DJ? Ling with another assist!
His foul throw deep in their half started it all.

Re: Match Day Thread vs Mansfield 2nd April 2021
So glad we've abandoned the pointless possession playing style. Last two games had around 40% but making chances and scoring goals, who would've thought it eh

I always thought given time Jobi would make a good manager but I didn't realise he would prove it so fast.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:43 pm 1 point off the playoffs

Re: Match Day Thread vs Mansfield 2nd April 2021
The only fly in the ointment is the two ahead of us (Newport and Exeter) and the one behind us (Bradford) have a game in hand.
