Team v Crawley

Post by Ronnie Hotdogs »

Couple of defeats on the bounce, several uninspiring performance, time for some changes:

Vigaro

Clay Akinola Thompson Brophy

Hector Jobi

Freeman

Kemp Ruel Wilko

Hector and Jobi both holding. Clay and Brophy both getting on to support as much as possible. The front 3 to play narrow and actually link up with each other.

You can have that for free, Ross.

Happe is out for two games ain’t he?

Accept that Jobi looks off key and may benefit from a rest. Put Cisse alongside Hector then.

You can’t play Clay as one of a midfield two. He’s shown that time and time again.

I may well be wrong but I thought Happe was only a single game ban 🤔🤔

4-2-3-1
Vigs

Ling. Akinola. Thompson. Widdowson

Kyprianou. Clay

Kemp. Freeman. Brophy

Wilkinson

Subs Sargeant, Coulson, Sweeney, Cisse, McAnuff, Dennis, Sotiriou

Would rest Jobi & see what Freeman can do from the start. Wilko is good enough to play through the middle.

Assuming Thompson is fit, clay to tighten up rightback, again assuming Turley not capable of that job

Although Wilkinson plays on the right he very rarely crosses the ball, he tries to get into the box and shoot. So it would make sense to play him in the middle

No f*cking way can Ling be in the squad let alone starting, he is a liability.

Ling will in the starting 11 whether we like it or not, so we’d better get used to it.

If we get anything out of this game I will be most pleasantly surprised.

Haven’t look like scoring for 3 games (even when we did!) and against a team we have the most woeful record.

Would be awesome if we won - would certainly be a springboard to an exciting end to the season.

I don't see any alternatives in the back four, due to fitness and suspension.

I dont think you are far out with that line up.
I will be surprised if Thompson is straight into the first team, from what I have read and listened to, he needs a while to get up to match fitness, a place on the bench for him is my guess.

Id probably go with this knowing we could give Jobi a full 45 if we need him
