I bumped into Fergal in Chingford. It turns out he has a think about the water quality in streams and rivers, and was checking out the stream that runs behind the estate which has been built where the dog stadium used to be. Since then I've followed him on Twitter, and he's proper mad for it.
He’s a keen walker, and rivers are a favourite of his.

I played football with Tommy back in the early 90's before he was famous. He had an Alsatian called Major who used to be tied to the back of the goal Tommy was playing in - he had huge bollocks as well (the dog).
I played with him too. And his brother at OPs. I remember Major well
Yup. Think I’ve Just worked out who you are. I played a few times for you as well (badly).

Quite a few OPs at the Os. I sit with 4 of them and we had a zoom call last week with all of us and Francis. I was a poor player but a great captain 😂

You’re being too modest. Whereas I was a goalkeeper with a height issue (and problems with catching)

I once had my foot run over on the Waterloo roundabout by Radio 1’s Mike Smith. He didn’t stop.

Also once got a very long kiss from Julia Carling at a gig when she was working for VH1 and had just split from England captain Will. I walked home bent double.

That Ian McKellan series with was it Derek Jacobi, comedy? Future classic banned due to woke idiots, I wager .

Walking the mutt on Tun Wells Common today, I had a chat with Davina McCall (she lives nearby).

I’m not a big fan of her TV work, tbh, but I was civil as my mum brought me up to be, whilst the dog had a good sniff at her crotch - which made her smile.

I had a naked wrestle with Oliver Read by the roaring fire in the William The 1V once.

Talking of Glastonbury on the other thread..bumped into a half cut, and possibly something other than booze, Martin Roberts of homes under the hammer fame.

I actually asked for a photo with him because my missus loves the show (and I do tbf) and asked him if he was enjoying himself, to which he replied that he was having the time of his life. Swigged his Stella, and wandered off on his own into the 35 degree heat. What a day.

I met Bruce Forsyth , in about 1985......he was mega popular then. I was asking him questions....it was like an interview. He was a genuine guy, a right nice fella.
I once said hello to singer Lulu, and she turned her head away..very rude....same thing with Aneka Rice.
Marianne Faithful came into a shop i was in, around 1990. I said hello, and she said hello back..still looked lovely
