It's annoying that he hasn't come out in support of the teachers and unions on this and called for school closures. It's rare that an opportunity arises to side with unions on an issue that has widespread public support.

I know we are a long way from an election, but what exactly does he stand for? I think he has watched Boris do more u turns than you see in a test centre in any one week and thinks I’ll copy him and flip and flop.

Be a man, be a leader and demonstrate you’re fit to lead this country, cos right now he’s not showing up well.

I get it that if you're looking for values you'll be disappointed. But for Labour to have any hope of winning a majority of seats in England (and it is clear that an England majority is key to winning a UK election), then Kier has to win those swing voters in the red wall. If he doesn't then the Tories will spin the next GE as being the choice between them or a Labour leader beholden to Sturgeon (or whoever is SNP leader by then given the trouble she's in).

Yeah, it's crap. But he's smart, has done his sums, and knows what needs to be done. That's just how the current electoral system works.

In all honesty, I’m not sure I’d really bother given the constituency I live in which is massive Tory country. Had it been a marginal I suppose I’d have voted Labour as it’s the only realistic challenege to the Tories.
However I don’t see Labour in any guise, be it Tory lite or full of socialist policies, getting anywhere near a majority.

Just moved back to a similarly boring constituency as yourself. In 2019 I was Wimbledon where I lived for years and we came within 630 votes of beating the Tories in a solid Tory seat... Sadly Labour ran also with 12,500 votes
