The need for patience
Any talk of sacking Ross is wrong.
The board appointed this fella after several weeks of procrastination.
He must be given time, and I by this I mean the end of the season.
If there is a need to remove him before then the DOF will have to go as well.
Some fans really do need to get real, who do they really think we can replace him with?
Calderwood?

Re: The need for patience
I have my doubts about the mgmt set-up and skills, but don’t expect anybody will get the tin-tack this strange season unless we find ourselves getting adrift at the bottom - which is unlikely this season.

Re: The need for patience
We are living in strange times, anything is possible. Sackings, promotion, relegation - even going bust.
Only one thing is 99% definite, us season tickets holders won't be sitting in our seats watching a match this side of Christmas.

Re: The need for patience
Hardly likely to inspire the supporters, at a time when their engagement is being severely tested for other reasons. The board will rightly be nervous about losing the momentum they've built up in the time they've been here. Thankfully, they're not as small-time as a lot of the "just be grateful we've even got a club to support" element of our fanbase, and I admire them even more for that.

"The Cowley brothers"...sometimes patience is a good call and i hope no one wants to see people lose their jobs, espescially good people.
The problem is that football is a results driven buisiness and were driving in the wrong direction.
Opportunitism is a thing to be taken and their available, local boys, pretty successful at our level and have that take no prisioners winning mentality.

Re: The need for patience
Along with Paul Cook they will be in contention for the Salford job. We'd have better luck if we were to go after somebody like Graham Alexander . Anyway It's a pointless conversation because we won't be going for anybody experienced unless we're in dire trouble . Let's hope Ross can turn things around and we get nowhere near that position .AckneyAwks wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:26 pm "The Cowley brothers"...sometimes patience is a good call and i hope no one wants to see people lose their jobs, espescially good people.

It’s the same when people mentioned Paul Tidsdale. He was on 6k a week at Mk Dons and Nathan Jones who was on 12k a week at Stoke. They both received good settlements and to think they would come to Orient is really fanciful. No wonder Martin Ling lost his rag.

Jones is now back at Luton who are a far bigger Club than us and he is earning a salary that is probably more than all our coaching staff put together.
‘Tisdale is still out of work but Is unlikely to come to us under the present set up, besides he is probably still getting paid by the Dons.
As for the The Cowley brothers, forget it.

That really was a stupid statement. Most managers have been sacked at some point.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:11 am Remember, we dont want managers who have sacked before.
