Salford
Slightly old news I suppose but I’ve only just realised that they sacked their manager and replaced him with Mr Charisma, aka Paul Scholes.
His first game in charge, against Port Vale, resulting in Salford’s first loss of the season.
I’ve always said that Salford are just a vanity project for the cabal of class of ‘92 w*nkers who own it and this latest move proves it nicely.
As far as I can tell Graham Alexander hadn’t done anything wrong. Got them into the football league and lead them to a respectable position last season. Undefeated start to this season. But the Class of ‘92 overlords decided that isn’t good enough and booted him out to put their mate in his place.
I happen to think that Alexander is a decent manager and he came across an alright bloke in the interviews I’ve seen of him. Hopefully the guy gets picked up by a proper football club. League 2 teams could do much worse. Now, would I want him at Orient?....good question.
Anyway, I stopped caring about Salford since we beat them to the conference title and see them as just another League 2 opponent, but this story did get my attention.

Re: Salford
Alexander is a decent manager at L1/L2 level but he'd not come south to manage us IMO if anyone was thinking along those lines.

Re: Salford
Overrated?..... Tell you what, I'd choose Alexander, all day long over Embleton, and I suspect 9 out of 10 supporters would too

You conveniently ignored the second clause in that sentence.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 12:20 amSounds like itHuxley wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 5:35 pm Slightly old news I suppose but I’ve only just realised that they sacked their manager and replaced him with Mr Charisma, aka Paul Scholes.
