I suspect it you look up my opinions on Cummings you will see I wanted the guy sacked and Said Johnson behaved very badly. If that’s your idea of a defence I certainly wouldn’t want to be the goalkeeper. Get your facts right.

But with his majority he can do pretty much what he likes. Not defending BoJo, nor Corbyn. Certainly not Cummings. Just amused at people’s reactions when one of their own screws up. Out rolls the excuses, the what about stuff. There is no excuse.

Surely no-one would compare his cock-up with Cummings would they? Cummings, the principal policy maker for the Government, flouting the rules and then lying through his teeth about it is, just possibly, a bit worse don't you think.
Really? Like I posted above it’s not the first time. So some underling has more prominence than a recent and former major party leader who wanted to be PM. Makes you wonder just how many times he flouts the rules and gets away with it.

As for apologising, pretty hard to refute the evidence or quote the small print. Not much else he could do.
Stretching a bit there Dohnut. Still it's the norm to aim at Corbyn, even though he's an irrelevance today. I suppose it's because the right are struggling to find anything of note on Starmer, pathetic though it may be.

Strangely, I'm not wondering how many times Corbyn flouts the rules. One, because there is no evidence he has, apart from this instance, and secondly because he's not a person of interest any more. I might as well wonder about how many people down my road, or in my village flout the laws. I doubt I'll ever be that bored.

Re apologising. Cummings didn't. He just lied, then lied some more, and more. Don't you think he was guilty of breaking the rules. Rules he'd probably made up. Corbyn was in the wrong and apologised. That immediately makes him more honest than Cummings.

Cummings should have apologised, he should have been sacked. That episode is a shambles. Been done to death.

As for before. Corbyn was photographed in a park having a chat with a guy, not adhering to the 2m rule. A picture that found its way into the papers. So this is not the first time.

I think this tit-for-tat stuff is Missing the point. He should have damned well known better. Frankly he will be fully aware of the rules, he can count above six. Total blatant disregard. His crime, the photograph getting out. He got caught out. Apologising don’t make it OK.

Cumming's was mentioned in the OP, Doh. Tad ironic for the man that likes to say 'but Corbyn!' to everything.

You want to see football live sooner, abide by the rules.

As this is a ‘Football Forum’ it is relevant but agree not high priority but is party of the ‘economy’ affecting other businesses and infrastructure.

Really? You’ve abided by every single rule since March?

Yes I have actually and most of my friends and family have. I have older friends who have been indoors for months . Some have underlying health issues and are terrified of catching the virus. It is frustrating for them seeing demonstrations up town , openly breaking rules and law when they are ‘imprisoned’

The fact is there are still many people in the UK that are law abiding and rule abiding from not dropping litter you taking Government advice and directions seriously. Those who do not in my view are prolonging this great inconvenience.

Biggesy there are also people who are now petrified to leave the house. A women my wife works with will not leave the house as she is so scared of catching covid, this is a serious mental health issue which is maybe being overlooked.

In anticipation of the what about response. Predictable. Corbyn was the subject of the post and it’s obvious he will get mentioned in a story about him.

The reaction by some was so obvious from the start. Makes me laugh.

As for my utter dislike of Corbyn. People, look at the facts. Look at what he did to a proud party. So I should like him? Get real. I said he was a disaster from day 1. I was right. He continues to be an embarrassment.

I was at B&Q a few weeks ago and when I went to pay there was a cashier there who I think will petrified for a long time. While none of the other cashiers had a mask on as they were behind a perspex screen, she had a mask and a face shield on. She told every customer to stand further back than the 2 meter line that was there and cleaned the card machine after every transaction

Look what he did? Securing the second highest number of votes the party has ever recorded, despite the best efforts of the internal machinery? Or attempting to return the party to its socialist roots, again against the wishes of the internal machinery? Is that what you mean?

You may be right redo, but the people rejected what he stood for and that my friend is all that matters. This is not a socialist country and never will be, Kier recognises that and is massively distancing himself from that or he too will be unelectable. To be fair to Kier so far so good.

Strange one this this.
Wonder why Jeremy Corbyn once again ignored the various government guidelines regarding Covid 19 ?
The many various Politicians who do likewise are not setting a good example are they, President Trump being one of the chief culprits.

Perhaps Jeremy is of the same mind as his brother Piers ?

17 October 2020
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... ck-in.html

Jeremy Corbyn's brother Piers, 73, who was fined £10,000 for his part in a previous rally, stood with a megaphone among the crowd that had gathered in Oxford Street earlier today. Protesters chanted 'stick your poison vaccine up your ar*e', 'take off your masks' and 'we are the 99%' as they walked down the street. Some carried placards blaming the virus on the new 5G network, while others claimed the virus itself was a hoax.
