I hope there might be some matches against opposition that might give us a proper game. On paper these all look like easy wins.

I suppose getting match fitness is the priority but I wonder how much else you might learn playing stronger teams.

Dagenham and Redbridge away and some Championship team at home shouts for the end of the month.

Is there a pre season tour?

So far the friendlies announced are useless
We need to be tested, not stroll around against poor opposition
We need a league 1 club or Championship club friendly for sure

The initial friendlies are all about fitness so whatever opposition, it doesn't really matter.

Agree we could do with a first team game against someone in L1 or the Championship to get us up to speed. Playing an U23s team isn't going to have the game speed or physicality of whoever our first league two game is against.

Saying that, i'm sure we will add a few other decent opposition games before july.

Our big home game before 17/18 was against Arsenal’s U23s and they tore us a new one.

Does anyone here actually go to pre-season friendlies?

Never bothered myself.

I sort of make him right though? And prestige too, with that friendly against Norwich and Happe in mind.
