When I started work at 17, it was in an analytical laboratory. At college, the head of year said " At least I don't have to lecture science students about the dangers of drug abuse, you lot know enough to keep well away " I found this to be very true. It is the arty types with their head in the clouds ( or somewhere else ) that like to play dangerous.
Who do you think it is that makes recreational drugs, media studies graduates?
The tiny amount of deaths and harm related to nitrous oxide are from asphyxia where eejits tie bags around their heads. It's not absolutely without risk but as close to it as makes no difference for a healthy 18 year old.

You gotta be some sort of eejit if your life is so sad that you need recreational ( a horrible term ) drugs to help you through it.
I thought recreational drugs were used to enyance a night.
Its the heavier class A's & (not recreational) &
Prescription drugs that destroy lives .
Why? Enjoying altering the way you think and percieve things is a basic human pleasure. Some people do it through art or religion or even the excitement of sport. Nothing to do with need but it's certainly a short cut to a lot of fun.
No-one is forcing you to indulge though, so why would you even care what other people put inside their own bodies?
