Marmite Tip

Post by Constanza »

Combine butter and marmite in a dish and stir to create a easily spreadable toast topping.
No more Marmite Roulette of too strong yeast extract lines next to bland butter.
Also good on spaghetti as a quick tasty pasta dish.

Well that depends on how strong you like it. I went 80 20 butter to marmite. That's what makes it so special- its a customised spread.

We can't do that........Johnson :clown is under the illusion that it's a massive export for us; and that we can sell it to Australia (despite the fact that Marmite for the Australian market is already supplied by New Zealand - and has been since 1919)!

Anyone given the Marmite Peanut Butter a go?

Was mixing the two myself before it became a thing, I find the pre-blended mix to be a bit too much PB and not enough Marmite

Marmite cashews are top notch too

Vegemite is by far the biggest seller over in Australia. I prefer it to Marmite as it’s easier to spread.

Yes, I have. I am down to my last serving and I do intend to buy it again this week. I like the taste of it and it goes down easier than normal peanut butter, not cheap at £2-50 for a 225g jar though.
I have tried marmite and butter mixed together on toast and they do go together quite well.

Marmite in ANZ is a totally different product, produced by a different company. It's got a metallic taste as is completely nasty.
