What Search Engine Do You Use?
Just interested to know, to those who use Laptops and/or Desktops, what search engine people are using in 2020?
Google search, logs every search, and tracks you all over the web, so wonder if people still use that, ot perhaps a more private search engine, that doesn't log your details and track you etc
so, what do you use ?

Chrome. Took me a long time to come across from IE but I find it more reliable, especially for business needs.

Google - Chrome.
Have heard about all the tracking etc, but assume it's just to point advertising a person's way, so not especially bothered by that really..

Why just laptops and desktops?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:38 am Just interested to know, to those who use Laptops and/or Desktops, what search engine people are using in 2020?

I still use Google on all my devices anyway, of course they and countless others will spy on you. All the EU cookie law has done is made navigating websites a nightmare.
Opera browser on mobile is pretty good, with decent privacy features.

Firefox is a browser, not a search engine
Safari is a browser not a search engine
Brave is a browser, not a search engine

Re: What Search Engine Do You Use?
Search engines as against browsers....Yes you are correct, I did think of adding a comment to say much the same as you have now but could not be bothered to do so. For myself, I mostly use Google as my first choice search engine and have it installed as my homepage on the two browsers that I use the most, Firefox and Google Chrome. I have a friend in America who is a computer geek and he rates DuckDuckGo as his favourite search engine. ''DuckDuckGo. If online privacy is what you seek, then DuckDuckGo is the best alternative for you''ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 2:05 pmFirefox is a browser, not a search engine
