What's funny about this is that I have hardly ever expressed support for the government and certainly not admiration for or agreement with the way they've handled the covid pandemic, with the exception of activity around coming out of lockdown.
If I see something posted that I disagree with or think is wrong I've posted alternative views, opinions or links. I've tried to remain polite and hardly ever deliberately tried to wind anyone up (except max on a couple of occasions).
For that I've received the usual abuse. Most recently (above) bizarrely I've been accused of being on somebody's payroll, whatever that means, and a right wing agitator, for essentially agreeing with the poster on another thread about the state of the planet!
Sadly the tactic of some on the left these days is that anyone they don't agree with, stick a label on them, dole out some abuse, attribute all manner of views to them, and ultimately hope to shut them down.
I don't feel bullied, and am not particularly bothered by it, I just think it's a shame that among the obviously intelligent people of all views on here it is not possible to have some civilised debate. I guess that's the nature of bulletin boards and anonymity.
