Dalby and Abraham’s
The Orient Hour stated on yesterday’s show that both players have been released by Leeds and Norwich respectively.
What do people think about that? Potential signings or nah we move on to other targets?

No brainer - get them back. Shows the folly of them moving in the first place. Koroma looks wiser and wiser by the day.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Sorry for both of them but just shows the benefits of playing games.
Impossible to know where they both are now and if they could take a squad place. It’s not as if we can stick them in our youth team for a year or so, they need to be in contention for a first team spot. Sadly I reckon the answer is a no.
Really surprised at Dalby.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Agents are the ruination of young players. They get moves for the youngsters, to big(ger) clubs, because they ( the agent) make money out of the move.
By waiting a few years, the player acquires experience, and when they do move, they are much more likely to be successful.
I would have both Dalby & Abrahams back here willingly

But if the clubs didn’t want them, there would be nothing the agents could do about it. Whilst agents are undoubtedly parasites, it’s the bigger clubs who are at fault here.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
He’s younger than the other boys so would be surprised if he’s been released. He also left here a lot later.

Would be shocked if Dalby was released.

Norwich City have confirmed that eight academy players will be leaving the club this summer when their contracts expire, including strikers Tristan Abrahams and Pierre Fonkeu.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
But they didn't say they had been released. They referred to rumours about them being released. Doesn't appear true in Dalby's case.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Sam Dalby to be released by Leeds Utd ?
Surprising if true, I always thought he was highly thought of at Leeds.
Tristan Abrahams leaving Norwich had been hinted at before.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
No surprise about Abrahams. Never going to cut it at a Premier League club. Reckon he’ll land a gig in League 2, though. Did reasonably well for Yeovil despite their travails.
Leeds haven’t released a retainer list yet, so any comment on Dalby is premature. That said, he had a dispiriting loan at Morecambe, so maybe they’ve seen enough to just pay him off.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Dalby from all I've heard is really highly rated at Leeds, be very surprised if he was released. I'd take Abrahams back no question.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
I wouldn't take Abrahams. Dalby needs a big season next season if he wants to stay at Leeds, didn't get a look in at a very very mediocre Morecambe.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Sentiment in my mind would say yes to both, however pride would play a roll here, on both sides. They did NF us, club could say "told you so", you didn't listen then so what's the odds you listening now.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 11:14 pmThis .Disoriented wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 8:45 pm No brainer - get them back. The club said at the time the offers were too good to refuse? They went with our blessing.

Re: Dalby and Abraham’s
Yes its ok to think of taking these youngsters back but on the other hand we have to hit the ground running when we get back in Division 2. There are many good experienced players who will have been released from their clubs, end of contract etc from Clubs from Premier level downwards. There will be so many to choose from who will all be looking for new clubs to join but we are most likely only looking to bring in around 4 new players. So just imagine if it was a choice between Dalby and McCallum, surely McCallum would be the choice ? When it comes to job security, football is a rat race, both for managers and players.
