50 Years Ago Today
Chelsea beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Old Trafford in the FA Cup replay. The first time the Final had to be replayed in yonks, Leeds United were horrible. I recommend all those over the age of 18 to watch this horror show as you can see Karma at work. That's all ( except that I wuz there and it was one of the best nights of my life, save 28/6/1980- but that's another story ).
Re: 50 Years Ago Today
I was a student at the time in Manchester. We all settled down to watch the match on TV in the student common room. Loads of Leeds supporters and all of us from London, remotely London or just Leeds haters were supporting Chelsea. It was a moment when ex O's Webb scored and the most hated team in the land finally lost. Hard to describe how much Leeds were despised, along with David Coleman on BBC, who seemed so pleased with everything they did.
