Re: Election Watch
My greatest hopes are that the Members for Christchurch & North East Somerset have Portillo moments. The Libs will probably have to do the business. But Oh! how I hope.

Re: Tory Watch
Glad we are watching the Tories rather than Labour. They are the ones that need close scrutiny.

Election Watch
This is probably gonna be a damp squib. But the rumours are going around Westminster. Chris Mason, "General election speculation feels different this time" Again I quote: "Another idea some are entertaining is the possibility of a reshuffle. No10 wouldn't be drawn on that either. But ...

When you come on a website like this, and see people saying they hate: Spurs, West Ham, Brighton, Millwall, Oxford etc ( mostly talking about fellow white English people ); it is hardly surprising Racism is deemed a threat, especially when people are obviously a different skin tone or dress differen...

Re: Labour Watch
What I want to know, is why are we so busy watching Labour? With their track record, surely it is the Tories that need close scrutiny. This is a strange website!

BiggsyMalone :- This is the most unhinged and revisionist take on an ex-O that has ever been posted on this forum.
Me:- You seriously need to go back & look at some of your historical postings!

No, you get bored in hospital. No visitors 'cos I'm miles from home. Mayor of Casterbridge the only book ( hardly a laugh a minute ). I was partially eaves dropping. Suddenly the talk was incoherent, I lost the ability to tune into the conversation, I was not in control of that part of my body. Appa...

LSN :- I realise this, that why it is a white knuckle holiday. Mind you these seizures were much, much more scary. It was a bit like that TV series life on Mars. I did wonder whether I had red mushrooms put on my McDonalds burger on the way down.

Re: White Knuckle Holiday
It don't worry me, but I suspect it worries female nurses when it shares their facilities ( there didn't seem to be much love lost with the other nurses ). Also there were plenty of Christopher Chopes types in a stroke ward, who were totally bed ridden. They didn't have much option if he was gonna g...

White Knuckle Holiday
You get an instant idea of how bad this is, because I am starting a thread whilst on holiday. I descended on Dorset Friday evening. Just me & the doggie in a rather nice cottage just outside Swanage. On Saturday we spent a large part of the warm day at Swanage. Got back to the cottage & watc...

Sir John Curtice Watch
Somebody on BBC News asked Sir John Curtice when we would be the best time for Richy to go to the Country for an Election. He replied: " Now, he is never going to win, but at least in 20-30 years time he will be remembered as the PM who managed to rid the Country of tobacco smoking."

Maxy sounds like the whinging Tories in Thurrock that can't handle defeat. If they had a turnout at the polls like they are on Facebook, they would have kept Thurrock. LOL

Re: Local elections - How are YOU voting?
In Thurrock, the Council is now controlled by Labour. Has been Tort since I lived here first of all. My local Tory Councillor has been thrown out on her ear'ole. Rejoice ! But Thurrock now destitute is a bit of a poisoned chalice. Be interesting to see how things roll out for Labour.

Re: Local elections - How are YOU voting?
Curry:- Early Tory lead from older people and people with jobs who are up early. Get real man. This ole geezer added his Labour vote at 5.30pm to make it 11 votes. Worryingly, coming out of the Polling Station at 4.30, I had words with another geezer who had voted for Reform. He didn't like being ca...

I just read two interesting books. 1 A Victorian posh lady, who poisoned her Jersey boyfriend with arsenic. She was being wooed by a much more desirable beau. So , she done in the poor ole geezer. Despite being banged to rights by the evidence, she was found not proven and lived a long life in USA i...

Re: Local elections - How are YOU voting?
Expect some serious voting in Thurrock. Usually Tory controlled & they have mucked up big time. Accrued massive debts, gambling on dodgy "investments". People are up in arms. Council Tax gone sky high and services chopped. Especially bin collections. When you consider most vote Tory to...

Bugsy:- Who are you? Me:- Obviously I was correct in that you are a youngster. If you had been a regular visitor to this Board, you would probably have known that I am Clive Evans & live at Grays. I am 76 and not in the greatest of health, but still fairly active. Hobbies: eBaying, Orient and wa...
