One does wonder re the media - there's a war in Ukraine, Sweden & Finland announce they want to join NATO, the political crisis in Northern Ireland, yet Sky News at 5 led last night chose the Daniels story to lead with.

It’s a major domestic story.

Because of the attitudes of many football fans - not you, I’m sure - there were no openly gay professional footballers in the UK. This is trail blazing.

Of course he is. Bera is truly enlightened, he doesn't even see someone's colour or gender. This boys sexuality makes no odds to him, and he cannot see how it would make any odds to anyone else.

In fact, it makes so little difference to him, he felt the need to pipe up and tell everyone that fact. I've seen quite a few people on social media these past 24 hours compelled to tell everyone how little difference this makes to anything.

I congratulate the lad, it’s a very brave act.
Seems like Blackpool fans, team mates and the club are backing him.
