Wait until you hear about what they have in store for the young 'uns. You will go mental.Stamford O wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:08 pm Really bad of these millionaires that they make us buy our own season tickets as well.hope they feel ashamed of themselves
Cheers bruv, nobody has said that to me in years who wasn't rolling their eyes at the same time.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:09 pmGood idea.Gary's Big Brother wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:05 pm Dunno 'bout you bruv but would like to have seen this dosh spent on a player. Problem is new investors come along and dilute the fans shareholding to nothing when they bung in their cash for shares, so the fans might as well just hand over the money and have their names inscribed on a brick.slacker wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:11 pm I'd like to have seen the SC get some shares for each donation, so at least they increased the fans stake in the club. Over the years since Hearn started that could have grown to a decent percentage of ownership and, maybe, helped block some of the dodgier decisions taken in running the Club.
Would need to increse the price of Beer to do that . Well done you for suggesting it .Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:09 pmGood idea.Gary's Big Brother wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:05 pm Dunno 'bout you bruv but would like to have seen this dosh spent on a player. I actually think they could do one better, instead of handing the money over to Ling to spaff up the wall on another crock, they could get Karen and the bloke with the sandwiches to actually buy a player and hand the player over to the club.
I always understood it to be from the profit reinvested , well thats how Lou Day explained it to me .StillSpike wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 6:21 pm Is it really a "donation" to the club, or is it more by way of a rental for the premises? I ask because a number of supporter clubs at Raith Rovers are allowed space within the stadium for their bars, but in return pay over a significant portion of the profit to the club in lieu of rental.
It's being put towards the new floodlights. It's going into the club, not to them...Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:03 pm It means they have to take £40k less out of their pockets than they otherwise would have so yes, effectively.
The supporters club should be buying shares in the club with this money.

Do you tell many multi millionaires what they should spend their money on regularly?Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 9:27 amLoyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 7:25 amIt's being put towards the new floodlights. If the supporters hadn't gifted the investors £40k, then they would have had to cough up an additional £40k to pay for these lights. It's the same thing. This isn't difficult.
Prove it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 11:59 am Original post is made every time there is a donation. tiresome boring wum.
So apart from moaning about SC donations to the club and the u-11 season tickets being withdrawn, anything else you want to grumble about?Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 12:40 pmProve it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 11:59 am Original post is made every time there is a donation. tiresome boring wum.
The point is valid. Even LOFT head honchos have agreed above. Sticking in that amount of money deserves a stake in the club.
Barry Hearn is some £500k - £1m richer than he otherwise would have been thanks to these donations over the years.
I always admire those who feel able to speak with such certainty. Can you explain to us how you know this?Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 4:28 pmGary the Plumber wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 12:40 pmProve it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 11:59 am Original post is made every time there is a donation. tiresome boring wum.

The SC have donated £1.35 million over many seasons, if a portion of that were taken up in shares frankly it would make no difference to anything.
