Snoop dog has posted up pictures of Gazza at 20 and 47 under the caption of alcohol abuse and the same for himself under the caption marijuana abuse.

Here’s the link to the story as I don’t have Instagram.

Alcohol does destroy lives however, it is classed as an illness. Drugs destroy lives, but is described as illegal.

I was talking to a friend the other day about his mums drinking and how she’s aged really bad because of it and he said don’t know why puff is not legalised. I offered the response that the tax income would not exceed the cost to the nhs as one reason why the government would not legalise it. He replied, my dad said the same thing.

So what do people think about the Gazza comparison and between the two substances.

Obviously there are lots of factors to take into account but looking at those numbers would the extra cost the NHS would face due to decriminalisation/legalisation really outweigh the extra tax income? Especially if it's being consumed via safer methods than smoking, I.e vaporising/edibles.

Edit: It's worth noting the whole population of Colorado is 5.696 million (2018)!

That argument would hold water if the nhs wasn't already footing the bill for drug misuse. Legalise it all, make it safer, and you would increase taxes, reduce crime and reduce the hit on the nhs. For me it's an absolute no brainer

Certain police forces have said prosecuting for personal use amounts and even small personal grows is not a priority for them. Mainly northern counties. Nothing from the gov.

Not officially although sense it's only a matter of time.

Edit - unfortunately seems to depend on ethnicity as well
