Vigouroux. 6 MOM. That’s right, let in 4 but Lawrence MOM. Could have been a lot worse without his interventions. Decent distribution.
Khan 3. NOT A RIGHT BACK.
Ogie. 2. I was saying at half time how his attitude has started to grate on me a little. So layed back he is almost horizontal. Second goal was laughable as he was beaten for a header, watched the ball bounce back off the post and still without moving watched their forward score. Supposed headbutt for the sending off. Professional football is not easy Shadrach.
Beccles. 5. Best of the defenders.
Wood. 4. Few decent games recently. Not today. Hopelessly out of position for one goal.
Coleman. 3. Rubbish. Taken off at half time or just after.
Pratley. 5. Started out where he left off at Swindon then his legs went. He is not a midterm answer. Just can’t play 2 games a week.
Smyth. 5. Decent run for the goal but subdued for the most part.
Archibald. 5. Same as Smyth. Extra point for the goal.
Ruel. 3.5. Touched it twice and both times he 50peed it to the oppo. Calls for him to be playing in the championship laughable.
Drinnan. 5.5. Worked hard as usual but his one chance he fluffed and again shows he is not a natural finisher.
Subs. Brown. 6. Injected some life in us although the way dulcet was going on I thought Messi had just put his boots on. Smith. 5.5. Put himself about. Mitchell. 5.
Wellens. 5. Lots to think about in the summer. The main ones being we are nowhere near good enough for promotion. Everyone knows the positions we need to strengthen.
Northampton. 7.5. Good side. We came back into it in the second half but that’s only because they sat a little deeper. First half they tore us apart.
Ref. 6.

OK, we lost 2-4, but in the 2nd half we had enough chances to level it. Not too downhearted.

Don't know what beach Ogie was on ,but I hope the weather was nice. Sending off fully deserved, you can't put your head into an opponent under the linesman nose and expect to get away with it. Thought Brown looked OK, but King's Lynn must be absolutely pissing themselves about Coleman. As we've said for some seasons now, the midfield needs a serious makeover- oh for a Vincelot , Dawson, James.

Yes. Both times we have seen Brown recently he has played well. As you say, Coleman ain’t mustard.

The result did not reflect the match in my opinion.
We tried, back four let us down, must overcome complacency and resting on our laurels?

No doubt Ogie's agent believes he's ready for PL or CL.

Agree, a travesty Vigouroux didn't get MOM.
But Drinan did quite a lot of good work creating chances other than just effort and fluffing a chance..

How can Vigouroux be considered for MoM. His mistake led to the first goal which gave Northampton a great boost and changed the game. He had already got away with one error.
I do agree with the low rating for Ritchie. He played with 4 up which meant we had no midfield . And why bring on 2 subs when we had just scored

Vigs at fault for first two goals. Yes he made some saves and that, but he’d already cost us the game by then.

That's the thing , second half we played much better but you can't gift a team like Northampton three goals and hope to get something out of the game .

I think we played better because Northampton just sat on what they had giving us some more of the ball.

I don't know why we signed Coleman when we already had better midfielders at the club . Another master stroke by our transfer committee .

Yes, there was that element to the second half as well. Northampton was the best opposition I've seen at Orient this season but we made things easy for them in the first half .

From where I was sitting their first goal was unstoppable . Northampton's three other goals were gifts .

Agreed re first, I was right behind it in the East. Powerful shot and Vigs did all he could. Most keepers couldn't have done any better.

Sorry to disappoint, but we haven't had a midfield for about 5 years!

I felt sorry for Nathan Coleman, a young kid plucked straight out of NL and we expected him, not just to match but get the better of a team and players about to go to league 1. A whole 2 leagues above where he was 4 months ago, just ain't gonna happen.
Looked at our bench, there was only Jordan Brown to shore up the tean

Totally this. If we are serious about making a push for promotion next season you can't imagine Coleman will be playing many, if any, games for us. He doesn't look anywhere near good enough for this level based on what we've seen so far.

It was more the build up to the free kick that im blaming him for. Relatively simple clearance up the pitch would have sufficed, instead he fluffed it with his weak foot to give possession away which then led to the free kick, albeit after a decent save by Vigs

Blame the 'transfer committee'. I do.

Nobody is blaming Coleman. It's down to our transfer committee .

I have no complaints with our forward players or our attacking play, we look good in a number of areas and very mobile. Archibald looked a threat every time he recieved it and we were causing them problems at the start with our press. The first half was a disaster from a defensive point of view and all the back 4 were pigging useless and let the side down. During our rough 30 mins in the first half the centre midfielders lost their heads looked lost and didn't know whether to drop deep to receive or push higher up leaving massive gaps for a good Northampton side to exploit. Overall I don't feel too bad about the loss it makes no difference to our league position even if we had won and the only frustration is with better decisions at the back we could have given Northampton a closer run for their money. It was entertaining at least.

Vig’s distribution is awful. How many times per match is the ball sent into touch.
One free kick was three yards in from the touch line with the whole pitch to aim at and he sends it off the same side. FM!

It's always the same after a defeat .I call them Anger ratings ,it's like they are still at the ground and decide to post these sort of ratings on the back of a defeat .
