I've backed Good Boy Bobby at 16/1 as that's my dog's name and I'm forever saying "Good Boy Bobby, good boy Bobby "!
Seems like a good omen to me.

Yes, very good, as it happens I’ll have a fiver on that asI liked Bobby Charlton when I was a lad.
Also I fancy £2 Each Way on Fiddleontheroof as a bloke knocked on my door last week and said I had two broken roof tiles and charged me £675 to replace them.

Not necessarily. He might not be able to stand up to the occasion.

FiddlerOnTheRoof for me.
I remember when the race took place mid afternoon during an O's home game, and am pretty sure someone got thrown out of the old west stand by stewards for an over-exuberant celebration when the horse he'd backed won (he was listening on an old wireless). I might be wrong.

It was in the old west stand (seated), probably in the late 80s or early 90s, just in front of where the Fat Fryer used to be. It was at least a little more lively there in those days.

There are 2 certain losers at the National. 1 The punters 2 The horses:-Twenty-nine horses have died as a result of racing at the Grand National meeting since 2010. My advice avoid this barbaric spectacle. Save yer money.
