I thought the back 4, particularly Beckles deserved higher scores. Good performance by everyone.

LV a 6. Did nothing wrong and got a clean sheet?

LG knows everything about goalkeeper performances at the bescott stadium.

Do not step to him on this.

Vigoroux. 6.5. Nothing much to do. Wilkinson had a particularly bad game which is always good news.
Wood. 6. Puts in plenty of effort but lacks real quality.
Ogie. 7. Good solid effort from Shad albeit Walsall were poor attacking wise.
Beccles. 7.5. Same as Ogie. Played well.
Thompson. 7. When he first came but from serious injury looked a shadow of the player before he got hurt but testament to his mental as well as physical strength as obviously believed in himself and paying off. Like having a new signing.
Pratley. 8.5. MOM. What a great game. Ran around like he was 18 and full of red bulls.
Hector. 7. Better. Couple of nice passes and composed on the ball.
Khan. 7.5. Involved in a lot of our good player and an assist/goal. Night and day compared to when he is playing as a fullback.
Ruel. 6. Scared the life out of their defenders in the first half. Faded badly in the second.
Drinnan. 6. Usual industry but nothing much came off for him.
Smith. 7. Goal and some effort at last. Picking him a master stroke by Wellens as after midweek thought he would never see an orient shirt again.

Subs. 6.

Wellens. 7.5. Had them really fired up and to a man they played for him. High pressing like the early Jackett years (year) that he abandoned after one bad defeat..Harrogate? Can’t remember. Managers like to use it of course but it requires a huge effort every week from the players and those players have to really like and believe in the manager. Pratley played like Wellens is a long lost relative. One slight criticism, we have added a certain nastiness to our game which is fine but I thought it went over the top a little by the end. The time wasting and generally Shiiithousery were constant. Some people will like it of course.

Walsall. 5. Rubbish but they couldn’t cope with our intensity.

Ref. 4. Bad.

So dramatic. Look at the bench, who else was going to start?

Picking him the only option for Wellens who got lucky that Smith actually broke sweat and scored.

At this current moment in time that's our best eleven . Barring injuries we should just stick with that lineup and build on it for next season .

You definitely can have too much shithousery. You have to stay the right side of the line otherwise you end up with key players missing, like Theo today.

Nothing to do with shithousery, executed correctly to opponents is fine, Theo can't stop gobbing off to match officials.

The two things are different.

He was gobbling off to officials after two needless bookings. The two things do go hand in hand.

So if all the players are fit and ready to play, Theo Archibald and Paul Smyth to be on the subs bench ?
Football is a squad rotation game, keeps the players fresh and on their toes.

OK then, that's our first 13. Except Khan, just stay clear of our January duds and we should have a decent end to our season.

I reckon both Smyth and Theo start in Richie’s first choice 11 at the moment (and I’d probably agree with him).
