I thought that it is a football contest and not a beauty contest. What was it with the Brazillian woman playing with lipstick on? It did them no favours did it. Similar with Greenwood with her false eyelashes.

That as well. Makes me think they concentrate more on "looking good" that the football.

Who cares? Do you think the same way when Craig Clay puts wax in his hair before a game, or Josh Coulson has a shave? People have the right to look however they want- who knows, maybe it makes them feel more comfortable, and they play better as a result?

I thought that it is a football contest and not a beauty contest. What was it with the Brazillian woman playing with lipstick on? It did them no favours did it. Similar with Greenwood with her false eyelashes.
Brazilian legend Marta had her own reasons for wearing bright red lipstick, see below ! Alex Greenwood and also Toni Duggan both wear eye makeup and false eye lashes when playing.
''Marta wore red lipstick for the victory over Italy and decided to do so again against France, sending social media into a frenzy.''
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football ... k-16933889
But the Brazil legend explained her reasons for doing so following the 1-0 victory over Italy.
"I always wear lipstick. Not that colour, but today I said 'I'm going to dare'. I tried it and I think it was good," she said.
"The colour is of blood, because we had to leave blood on the pitch. Now I'm going to use it in every game."
Marta's goal against Italy was her 17th World Cup goal - breaking the record set by Germany legend Miroslav Klose.
After the goal, she said: "The feeling is a joyful one, not only for breaking the record but for being able to represent women in doing so.

This tournament reminds me so much of the Men's World Cup 1998
France are going to luck their way through to the final and most likely win it

France v Brazil was a good game last night and either team could have won it.
Less said the better about the England game.

Yes, she was called Florence Griffith Joyner. She was and is the fastest women ever. Unfortunately she died aged 38, some say because of the alleged steroid abuse during her track career.

The referee has now admitted that she twice overruled VAR to stop Cameroon walking off. England should have had a penalty and Cameroon should have had a player sent off.
