Lego head Ray and the useless conference kid the spine of the team tonight. Laughable really.

Sicknote Smyth on the bench ready for a pointless 10 min cameo where he plays 3 or 4 good passes that amount to nothing and misses out the next 5 games with a dodgy hamstring.

He’s joined by a couple of kids I’ve ever heard of and for an inexplicable reason, Ogie.

This really is dire. We need a real manager ASAP

The bench really is desperation territory, an entire U23 lineup with the exception of Smyth.

Reilly remains M.I.A.

I'm not convinced even the best managers in the world could do much else with the current squad. Any chance of getting McAnuff back from the TV studio for a few games in CM? It was verging on a joke when he said it during the window but right now would actually be a massive improvement on what we have

He would be the best player in the squad. And I’m not even exaggerating.

I really hope Sotiriou proves me wrong, but seeing him start is another hope-crusher (along with Ray, Coleman, Young).

We now have 9 players out with injuries, suspensions and so forth (Nouble). It is difficult to see how we can get something from this game.

Can't understand how Ray gets in over Ogie?

The two youngsters on the bench are both decent young players

Wonder what's happened to Drinan?

Never mind Smyth what about Reilly . Where is he now ?. I can only assume Ogie has a slight injury .The fact we have two kids on the subs bench underlines our January transfer business . Bloody awful .

I thought particularly Drinan's but also Shad's head had gone by the end of the game on Saturday. May as well had me chasing the ball rather than Drinan - and if I had broken the offside trap then Shad would not have bothered to chase me. Can't have that sort of an attitude in a team at a time like this.

I can't see what any new manager is going to change . Young has very good potential but players like Ray and Coleman are useless .

Just looking at that Colchester lineup they look a lot stronger on paper .That's the difference with January transfer business .

Mr. Hair is the ref.

How did his parents resist naming him Sean?

And so it continues..
What a f*cking mess this is.
That said, I hope we go hell for leather tonight. There is now nothing to lose.

So the names have been pulled out of the hat again and this is how it's come out. Thompson back in at right back. Wood at left back. Young, who scarcely looks old enough to be out at night in the midfield together with non-league man. No sign of Drinan. Ogie must be injured as surely would be in if not. No sign of Reilly again. Really beginning to despair of him. Possibility of a cameo from Smyth during which he is highly likely to pick up an injury. Bench looks truly desperate.

To be fair, the bar is fairly low there

We are playing some nice stuff from time to time, though
