Macklin was also getting abuse about the Orient Transit Firm guy getting banned - imagine that's the source of a lot of the abuse rather than the OFF issue.

Really sad, more so considering the good Macklin has done for our club.

That otf Twitter is a disgrace.

Separately, OFF has stoked the fires in the last week by publicly criticising the club. It gives people a reason to attack Danny. Saying that it’s no one’s fault but the person tweeting some of that very personal abuse.

High profile people have a responsibility to speak the truth, we've seen recently with Boris and his unfounded Saville nonsense in parliament where that led to Sir Kier being surrounded by a mob in the street. This aint much different.

OTF chickenshits hid the face of the guy that got banned behind an emoji in one of the tweets abusing Macklin. What a bunch of pussies.

As I've said before, I wish Macklin would publish the OFF emails as they will most likely show R***r conducting himself appallingly as usual.

‘Regardless of the issue’.

Lofft, are you alright?

Not sure what this is all about but Danny should talk a leaf out of Vigs book - publish the abuse. Name and shame those responsible, don’t run away and hide.

Well remembered, is there much info about that incident?

Not just publish the abuse, actually.

Track the culprits down and ban them.

Basically R***r went OFF at/harassed Danny Macklin by email, to the extent that Macklin needed to get the club's lawyers involved. Then bragged about it in his OFFicial statement which no doubt whipped his weak minded flock up to have a pop at Macklin too.

You would probably recognise his voice though from off of the radiopodblogcast.

Pretty ordinary from OTF and their little coterie of acolytes. Sad.

How can you say that Saville comments were unfounded the guy was banged to rights, even though the BBC quick as a flash erased all episodes of Jim 'll Fix, it as soon as he died to try and cover up the fact they knew what he was doing. Your another one when says you can't speak the truth 'cause. Starmer couldn't find Hitler guilty

Another weak minded, easily influenced otf type.

I know every club will have its share of absolute d*ckheads, but something about sending personal abuse to an employee who's made a point of being more accessible and transparent than any of his predecessors goes completely against what the club is. Hope these freaks can be identified and banned.

Lofts ‘regardless of the issue’ is still really troubling.

I guess I'm not really surprised that LOFFT would side with R***r rather than with what's right.

Eh? I posted that tweet, all it means is that no matter how deeply one feels about a particular situation, personal abuse is never acceptable.

Clearly today is another 'have a pop at LOFT' day for whatever tiny word or detail someone can find, so I'll leave you to it.

I don't think it's "have a pop at LOFT" day, more that this is what happens when you post referential ambiguities on Twitter.

OK, clearly I'm going to have to self-analyse every word I put on Twitter even more than I already do. Thanks for the feedback.

Can't you see the irony. OFF was in trouble for dishing out personal abuse. Where is the difference? Both incidents have to be condemned out of hand.

Not having a pop at LOFT but they need to have another think about this one.
