Twenty five years ago today Andres Escobar played what turned out to be his last game of football. I remember watching the game, his own goal and a loss for Columbia, never thinking for one minute what would transpire later.
It is said he was murdered as the cartels lost a lot of money betting on the game concerned. Football and Columbia will always remember him.

Re: Andres Escobar
I remember that idiot pundit Alan Hanson said after the game they Escobar needed to be shot for such bad defending.
