Why do some women put up with domestic abuse ?
Ok sometimes its because of losing the roof over their head, might have kids with the guy, can be for financial reasons.
For some women, non of those reasons apply, so why the need to stay then ?

No chance they will get rid. Probably a suspension until the end of the season to try to head off a longer ban.

Think he's done as an England player for a long while though and rightly so.

If proven guilty with this sort of evidence, surely no club in their right mind would go near him?

They don't "put up with domestic abuse", the men they are with make them feel worthless and that its their own fault. Victims come from every corner of society and there is not one typical victim. Often the perpetrator is skilled in ensuring that the abuse goes undiscovered. That is why when cases like this come to the fore the victim is treated as such (this does seem an easy one to accept in this case)as it may help others feel a little more able to seek help.

They don't "put up with domestic abuse", the men they are with make them feel worthless and that its their own fault. Victims come from every corner of society and there is not one typical victim. That is why when cases like this come to the fore the victim is treated as such (this does seem an easy one to accept in this case)as it may help others feel a little more able to seek help.

Do yourself a favour and read up on domestic abuse, it will help alleviate your ignorance.

There's a plethora of reasons why women stick around some physical, (violence/death threats to them and their loved ones, kids, parents, pets, etc) and some mental, (gaslighting, control, feelings of worthless, isolation, etc). One common problem is the man alienating the woman from all her contacts, controlling all the finances, leaving the woman with no one to turn to, and nowhere to go. The government do not offer enough services (security, temporary accomodation, finances, clothes, medical cover) to help all women in these circumstances a way out.

Thanks for your KIND words but I do have plenty of personal experience of such cases and on some occasions i know of where the women being abused defend the men who are abusing them and turn on the people trying to help them. Also I know of some men who suffer in silence whilst receiving domestic abuse from their women partners. Its foul bullying of the weaker partner, whether it be physical or mental abuse.

Read my post above where I explain more and that is based on many of the examples I have come across in my life of domestic abuse including both ways, majority being violence by men towards women and sometimes violence by women towards their male partners.

Also you are cherry picking much of what I wrote in my two posts and not reading my comments in full. I have personally known many women and men going through these situations and I know that it is very hard to break the emotional link for many despite the physical violence and emotional abuse they sustain by keeping in these awful relationships. The strange thing is that often despite the suffering involved, the person being abused, retains a strong love for the abuser and sacrifices themselves on an alter of love and caring which puts the well being of the abuser before their own personal needs.

Have come across it a lot as a taxi driver - all pretty harrowing stuff. It takes all forms and the victims can be characterised as a broad spectrum of society. The common themes are that it is hard to recognise early in a ‘loving’ relationship and that the victim feels total self blame, that continues well beyond the end of the relationship.
