A fitting legacy for JE. Hope the club, fans groups etc. can get some events organised to fundraise for this.

Staggering that health clubs don’t all have defibrillators already.

You would assume from that that the gym in question didn't have one. I don't understand how that was not a law already, so I hope they can have a positive impact on that.

Surely this should be made law? You have to have first aid trained people, so why don't the government mandate that defibrillators are also present?

You could say the same about Supermarkets,
restaraunts pubs , Golf clubs theatres

There are no significant figures that would show how any place that has a gathering of the General Public is riskier than anywhere else for a when Sudden Cardiac arrest can strike .

I know & understand what you are saying , but where would you stop medically?
With more & more people on anti coagulants how many places would have the correct coagulants to inject a person who might do a Steve Walsh (the capital dj ) fall over break a bone & bleed to death ?

Not talking about any old gathering of people, we’re talking about somewhere where people exercise. And risks come with that.

I’m totally with the Edinburgh family on this, of course it should be law.

Doing exercise raises your heart rate.

From reading the info & other information it was an electrical fault with the heart & not the plumbing.

Cardiac arrest doesnt happen because of excercise neccesarily.

I’m with you on this. Simple precaution and with trained first aiders onsite, which there will be, not a massive cost. Sensible.
