Just shows the lack of respect for football and life.

Unless, we had asked not to be on tv for the 1st game.

How do you reach such a bizarre conclusion?

Sky TV chose to show the game they wish to show is neither a lack of respect for football or for life. Indeed they are showing a football game

Football- only showing a team 3rd in the national league, with no football history, other than the connections.

Life. There are many clubs of a higher statute who warrant the financial input of having the game on tv. Not those being bankrolled.

They can choose who they like, but as normal ignore the average lower league football fan.

So you only want the highest ranked club ever to be shown on TV?

Strange attitude.

Still fail to see how picking a football game that is of more interest to the country as a whole than just Orient fans is showing a lack of respect to football or to life.

I get it you don't agree with the choice. It probably wouldn't be my choice of game either, but it's not credible to say it shows a lack of respect to football or life.

Sky will pick games that get them the best ratings. They are a commercial organisation and rely on advertising which is driven by viewing figures.

How about Crewe or Tranmere. I am talking about teamsthat can be helped. Not the top teams, as you assume.

Agree, that sky being a commercial operation is looking for best income. But as this is such a miniscule amount, why not do something that enriches the game. BT seem take a very different view.

Why the surprise? Obviously they should be first on TV having won the National League according to their twitter feed

Even the BBC are joining the love-in. Only picture on the club-by-club guide to the new season is Salford.

Will be interesting to see how League 2 clubs feel about them as the season goes on.

Could it possibly be because it's Salford's first ever game in the EFL? Just a thought.

Exactly this. We've got some really unnecessarily bitter fans complaining when I it seems a totally logical decision.

Sorted. Salford hotel booked for a couple of nights. Next is the booking for the Corrie studio tour on the Sunday. With any luck it’s sold out. Not really, Mrs dOh fancies it and at Β£35 a ticket great value. It’s the least I can do, she suffers lots of away games.

As for Salford City! They are going places, will leave us behind. Good luck to them, they got big investors are using the money well, so far.

They tried to claim they had won the National League after winning the play off final, maybe Sky fell for it and thought they were the champions.

Their social media person making an honest mistake when they were so pumped up about being promoted = the club claiming they had won the league?

Even if Sky mistakenly thought they were National League champions that's not the criteria for deciding what the first League Two game to be televised should be.

I guess we should be used to the media following Salford City around, they have done it for long enough.
