Looking at other L2 clubs there has been significant signings among other clubs in and around us. I hope we don’t do our usual act in signing players at the end of the window. We should know who we needed before the start of the window . No excuse not to have had a right back in the building by now. January is a critical time not to lose gains on the clubs above us.

A fit Paul Smyth will beat any number of signings imo!

Noticed that the majority of signings have not featured a RB. KJ was saying that we do need back up / more depth to counter injuries, suspensions etc but specifically we need a RB. Caught the end of a half time conversation with DD on Saturday and it seems we have already settled on who we want to bring in, and it appears to be only a matter of time before it happens. Interesting that no one is picking up any rumours.

Who ever we sign, I hope he's not on the treatment table next to Callum Reilly for months on end.

Hey, you can't say that my dad was on their books and I still have the letter cancelling his registration It's a family heir loom. As an aspirational family we like to keep track of our failures.
Plus my best mate supports them.

And we expect to pay fees for players this window!
NT also said Koroma is likely to leave Huddersfield in the summer and we have a sell on.

So if we paid to get Koroma back here would we get the sell on fee

Currently, there are 24 players listed on the official Os web-site; that is quite a small squad all things considered.

It certainly is when we have injured players who have contributed little or nothing so far and others who have become injured or been subjected to the dreaded Covid restrictions.

Sounds like our billionaire owners need to get their fat wallets out and sign some more injured players.

Ben Thompson at Millwall i said it months ago and if we get him in the building now top 3 is nailed on. He's worked with KJ previously and Rowett yesterday has said he is open to letting him go in this window if he wants to.
Come on Ling he would rip this league a new one. KJ will then accomplish the target to get promoted this season, gates will increase, the fans will be happy and bigger gates and revenue for next year. What's not to like?
You know it makes sense.

Sounds good to me. I know he’s a midfielder but is he the creative type we need ? . Also I understand your point about working with KJ in the past but would Thompson drop down to League Two ?

Yes he is a creative player, he’s played 46 mins this season and I hope he’d drop down on the basis of we are going up one division! If it’s on loan then he can see if the reality matches the dream. He gets game time, we get a player and everyone wins.
