I thought the tackle on Dayton was bad at the time and was amazed the referee after playing the advantage didn’t go back and card the Sutton player, but after playing it over and over again I can’t see anything other than a red card offense.
That was a diabolical tackle, it literally wiped Dayton out yet that clown of a referee didn’t even speak to the assailant let alone book him. No wonder Dayton was fuming, having just come back from a long term injury and according to bt sports he suffered a break. The referee could have mitigated his mistake and shown some compassion, not add to it by sending him off.
