High tempo. Never stopped running. No little skill. Love it.
Vigouroux. 6. Nothing to do. Nothing.
James. 8. Our best summer signing. Great player.
Ogie. 8.5. So good it’s scary. Even nutmegged one of their players with nobody backing him up as was clearly bored of these inferior footballers.
Mitchell. 7.5. Strong game. So powerful for someone so young. Shame there is zero chance of signing him as Millwall rate him so highly.
Beccles. 7. Steady along with the rest of the defence.
Kemp. 7.5. No standout moments but it was his strong running and constant chasing and harrying that won us the points.
Archibald. 7.5. Another who worked his socks off.
Pratley 7. Was playing well but lucky not to be sent off so taken off at half time.
Clay. 8.5. Joint MOM. Drinnan scored three and set up one but Clay has many detractors (mainly me) and the central midfield has been our weak spot but Clay was superb today. He made it all happen by never giving Hartlepool a single moments peace and he deserves a share of the coveted award,
Drinnan 8.5. Joint MOM. Three goals and involved in pretty much all our good work.
Smith. 7.5. Some lovely touches and nice goal. Kenny has clearly worked on not just blindly hitting long balls during during the week as our play was a lot more subtle with smith used as a link up man rather than a battering ram.
Subs. Hector. 7. Never noticed Pratley had gone off which is a credit to hector.
Jacket. 7.5. Back to how we were playing at the start of the season albeit Hartlepool were poor.
Hartlepool. 5.
Ref. 3. Weirdo.

Pretty fair, Kemp Is a tidy player but 100% lacks quality decision making at the key moments otherwise he'd have tons of more assists and goals.

Aaron Drinan also had 2 assists so he pinches MOTM for me. All in all though, brilliant all around.....keep these performances coming please O's!

standout performance across the whole side.never gave hartlepool a sniff and they started game above us in the league. we could be going places this season as in our own hands. 10 to all today and minus 10 to the ref!!

Really what game was you at,the only bad decision he made was when through on goal otherwise he was Orients best player. He put himself about and is more creative than any other player. Why he’s not given a run of games playing behind the front two is beyond me, a front two that I’ve been advocating for weeks now. That and a high press and quick tempo won them the game today, they made the opposition make mistakes.

Thanks for your ratings Beradogs . It's good see Graig Clay get such a good rating and shows that on his day he can be an affective player. That Ref.In all my years of watching football I've never seen that happen anywhere before . People were shouting at the players that they were standing at the wrong ends . We didn't realise of course that it was still the first half .We was all looking at each other gobsmacked . It was totally bizarre

On that note, it's weird that they didn't communicate what was happening over the tannoy. Or maybe they did but people still can't hear it.

I agree. Had it not been for Drinan, Kemp would have been my MOTM. He was superb. And his shot on goal, he got into a great position and defenders closing down shut out an opportunity for him to pass. So he had a go! Good for him, he took responsibility. Don’t we want players who are prepared to shoot. I do. It was a decent decision, no complaints from me.

I think you've taken what I've said too literally, he is a tidy decent player but far, far too often he doesn't make the key pass or shot, if he did he would be a top player at this level or League One, there was one about 30 minutes in, where if he slipped it would've been a clear cut chance, he does it at least once a game. I like Kemp but it is definitely a flaw in his game that stops him playing a higher level.

Most bizarre thing I’ve seen in over 50 years of watching Football.
I wonder if our PA announcer even knew himself what was going on, totally surreal

Clay was outstanding. He's a player with massive limitations but his ability to press does make us a higher intensity team. Apart from the first one, all of our goals yesterday came from closing down well high up the pitch, which is what we did so well at the beginning of the season.
Second half we played probably the best football we have all season, albeit against a weirdly disjointed and passive Hartlepool team who didn't seem to have done any homework on us.
Drinan is an odd one. He looks like an ungainly workhorse a lot of the time but his first two goal were genuinely quality.
Probably Kemp's best performance for us. Still worry he'll get bullied in too many games to be completely reliable but found space brilliantly today and meant that we could build from the middle and not just the wings.

Vig 7
James 8
Ogie 7.5
Beckles 7.5
Mitchel 7.5
Archibald 7.5
Pratley 7
Clay 9
Kemp 8
Smith 8.5
Drinan 10
Back four solid as ever.
Midfield display the best we’ve seen, hunted and landed on everything.
Craig clay an absolutely outstanding performance
Dan Kemp mature and excellent
Aaron drinan- rightly will get the plaudits.great display of hard work, great finishes worked really well in the two and maybe this is the strike partnership for us going forward. Really hope he kicks on from here!
Smith- deserved his goal, great assist for the first, played a part in the 4th by pressing Mitchell, and then hit the post for the 5th goal So played a part in 4 of the 5 goals. On another day he gets a hatrick too.
Subs.
Kypri was solid when he came on.

Yeah Pratley was really out of sync yesterday, escaped what looked like a clear second yellow, he hasn't been playing particularly well for a while.

I've never had a problem with Drinans ungainly, unorthodox style/ demeanour. That's what makes him a good fit in this side. Something a bit different, off the cuff. I'm not suggesting he's a first name on the team sheet, but he didn't deserve to be dropped for as many games as he was. Always presents a danger to defences.

May be next week we will give Pratley a rest against Ebbsfleet and start off with Hector and Clay in the middle.

Clay makes a huge difference to our midfield when he plays. He should start ahead of Hector imo

More importantly why didnt one of the two linos or the 4th official (who puts up the board) communicate with him whilst they were on the pitch? Many fans knew he had blown up early so surely they did also. They were complicit and also incompetent.

I'm all for shortening games when we are winning. They other way round? Not so much.
Ref is now given entry to the Worshipful Company of IMBECILES.

Yes agreed, god knows what the Refs assessor will have said to him and his assistants after that shambles.

Pratley 7 you are having a bubble more like 2/10.
You can't give him a 7 cos we won 5-0.
It was his worse 43 mins for us by a mile.
He had 3/4 excellent opportunitys to pass the ball forward to kemp and decided to play it back time and time again to the back 3 then when he did pass it for word we lost possession cos it was poor passing. Got booked could have been let off by another ref though, and then took to long on the ball and thought they are on the counter attack and decided to grap the ball which everyone knows is a yellow card apart from the ref so that was a result then we scored 2 mins later.
It should have been 1-0 and down to 10 men and due to pratley being a wally we wouldnt have won but the ref helped us out big time.

Can't remember the last time an Orient player scored 3 and set up 2 in one match. Drinan is class. I thought he looked great from the very first game this season. Very lively and real hard worker as well. He appears to also be a clinical finisher.
