Good game. Enjoyed that. Crowd sounded really loud second half which was great to hear.

Vigouroux. 6. His distribution has started to annoy me. All over the place with his kicks and in the final minute just to boot it straight down the field and out pretty unforgivable.
James. 5.5. As Sits says. A good player wants to be a good player all the time. Do you know how profound that is. After a great few weeks he was pretty dire. Perhaps that is why he plays in league two.
Ogie. 8. MOM. Could have gone to any of the centre backs but Ogie gets it for the saving tackle near the end and he was generally excellent.
Mitchell. 8. How can he be under 21. Built like a tank. Plays like he is built like a tank plus no little skill.
Beccles. 7. Another solid game although put Ogie in the cra p near the end.
Woods. 6. Thought both fullbacks were off the pace a little this week. Did nothing wrong but didn’t put his mark on the game.
Pratley. 7. Amazing engine for someone mid 30’s. Worked his socks off.
Clay. 6. Terrible first half, then a couple of nice balls then back to being poor. Subbed pretty early in the second half.
Drinnen. 6. Didn’t play particularly well and snatched badly at a great chance. If we are going to run into problems this year it will be a lack of a natural finisher. Of course, at our level they are like gold dust. If Drinnan gets 10 it’s probably enough if we are keeping clean sheets. Our defence does looks rock solid.
Archibald. 7. Also missed one or two good chances and should have buried the one in the last few minutes. Gets the crowd excited every time he has the ball.
Smith. 7. Thought he had a good game. Created so much space around him as Mansfield doubled up. Just a shame nobody had their shooting boots on.

Subs. Hector 6.5. Did pretty well when he came on as we pushed them further and further back
Ruel. 6. Another who missed a sitter.

Jacket. 7. I think he will be pretty pleased overall. We dominated the game especially in the second half. Just one of those things that when you have league two players, they are going to have off days in front of goal.

Mansfield. 7. Clough will also be pleased as they worked very hard.

Ref. 6. Missed a stonewall penalty but his view was obscured and the lino bottled it. Sent one of their players off, I thought Theo made a meal of it although could be wrong.

Think Beccles was MOM by some distance - he didn’t miss a single ball. But all the back 3 were excellent.

Kenny just dug out James in the interview making clown boy seem even more of a clown.

Accept the Ref missed four penalty's and at least two were stonewall.

I would give Beckles an 8, other than that pretty much as I saw it.
A game we should have won and did every thing but score in the second half.
On the downside James picked up his 5th of the season booking for a blatant dive to win a penalty late in the game.
The defences of both teams will get the best ratings today ,although the Mansfield keeper had far more to do today than Vigs.
Enjoyed the game, good support from our fans, plenty of dark arts going on and a ref that decided to start the pantomime season early with his appalling decisions or non decisions throughout the whole game.

Of course he didn’t. Nor is KJ the sort of manager who would do such a thing. He is trying to build team confidence, not destroy it.

Yeah, I did dither over Beckles, just thought Mitchell deserved slightly higher for the way he handled Bowery and Ogie the same for the way he covered wood with that incredible pace a couple of times.

Mansfield done their homework alright, just as Harrogate did. More teams will come here and try the same battling approach, so we need to be prepared for it.

Beckles definitely worth an 8. Him, Michell and Shad played well. I gave Omar MOTM. Only one minor slip all game.

It's a free country, if Mansfield don't want to take the knee, that is their porogative, doesn't make them racists, your obviously part of the problem as well, as you think your right and anybody not of your opinion is wrong.

Just looked up the independent player ratings websites. Over three, James ranks in the top two across all of them averaging 7.3. Sofascore had him as our top player against Mansfield at 7.4. Pretty good I’d say. Consistent opinions.

It’s a game of opinions, but to rate him at such a low as 5.5 is frankly ludicrous. He had a good solid game and much of our creativity comes from him. It is just so good to have that in a number 2 at long last.

My guess, that score reflects sour grapes that he is such an upgrade on he who went before. I just cannot fathom another reason other than knowing feck all about football.

I literally have no idea what you are waffling on about. Anyone can do the ratings, it’s easy, type ratings in a subject bar and start doing it or just do it under mine, either way, it’s just an opinion and as nobody else seems to bother. Again, it was just my opinion, there was no ulterior motive about Ling or any other conspiracy theory about why he got 5.5. Secondary, and I don’t really know why I am responding, pfffffttt, James was the player that I liked from day one, I was giving hotdogs stick because he had doubts. James has got high marks every week, yesterday I thought he was poor. Kenny is not the kind to dig anyone out but even he mentioned his name and how he didn’t put the crosses in he normally does. Sounds like next Saturday I better up my game and the time spent doing it from 30 seconds to at least a minute as I had no idea how much influence I had. Pfffffttttt x2

Considering he was the most surprising of our signings Mitchell looks to be a real gem. Hard to believe he's a youth player himself.
