Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
A natural goalscorer, only really remember him at the very back end of his career way past his best, but used to enjoy his TV work, especially Saint & Greavsie.
R.I.P Jimmy, a true legend.

Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
Legend indeed. Love the story about him climbing over the embassy wall and asking his great friend:”What have you done with bracelet, Mooro?” Very sad and I him sure his last years were a real struggle. Glad that Harry Kane visited him. Will be emotional at Spurs today.
Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
Can remember Jimmy Greaves back at the start of his career. An amazing goal scorer by even today's standards. My thoughts and prayers for his family.

R.I.P. Jimmy.
A true great of the game.
Went to his testimonial v Feyenoord in 1972. Inevitably Greavsie scored the first goal.
Not sure he ever got over the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup Final in '66.

Died on the day of Spurs v Chelsea too - he's going to get an amazing send off today.

Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
One of the best footballers I've ever seen. Also my claim to fame was he stood next me at a urinal in The Tiger Tavern near Tower Bridge in the 70's!! RIP Jimmy.

Re: Jimmy Greaves RIP
Fabulous player, I can clearly remember the way he would dribble around defenders like they were rooted to the spot. Once seen
never forgotten.
RIP Greavesie.

Never saw him play but his record and status among his fellow professionals past and present speaks for itself. Used to love the Saints and Greavsie show.
RIP.
