Why did you mention him ? Heโs left the club. Why canโt you let it go.Apple Wumble wrote: โSat Aug 14, 2021 9:15 pmMiss him? Iโm still confused. Were they thanking us for our continued support, or were we thanking them? All very strange, either way.brentwoodo wrote: โSat Aug 14, 2021 9:32 pm 'What was it all about? What was that for?' I do sometimes wonder about some of the people who make contributions on this board, whether they are at matches and whether they actually appreciate what Nigel, Kent, Danny MacKlin have done for this club.
The pre-match lap was obviously their heartfelt way of showing thanks to the fans for their support during the epidemic when, lets be honest, the club could have been in dire straits. For me, more importantly, it was an opportunity for the true fans to show their appreciation for everything these people have done for our beloved club. We are now in the best position in my life time both financially and behind the scenes, probably a lot longer. Kent has just written off millions of his own money in having his share holding diluted to the club's benefit . Nigel has found investors to put our club on stable financial ground for the foreseeable future and to progress upwards.
I and everyone around me was touched by the lap around the pitch and it was great to see such a positive reaction from the crowd. I really hope that these key people did pick up our appreciation for all that they have done, it certainly started off a great afternoon. UTO's

How many more times do they need to be thanked for โsaving the clubโ? Get a grip.brentwoodo wrote: โSat Aug 14, 2021 9:32 pm 'What was it all about? What was that for?'
