Just watched Mo Farrah fail to get an Olympic qualifying time. Was difficult having to run the last 7 laps by himself. Missed qualifying by nearly 20 seconds. Could well have been his last run. Nevertheless he deserves great credit for his achievements.

Running in them 1970s trousers with the very front facing pockets was never going to be easy.

If he's that far outside the Olympic qualifying time I'd call it a day if I was him . He's had a great career and has achieved a lot more than most athletes. I'm sure he'd get some media work so he should always be OK.
