Eden Hazard

A sale has been agreed for a total of £130m of which £89m is the initial fee plus bonus which apparently are easily achievable. That’s a serious amount of money. It’s also a shame he’s leaving these shores as he’s an absolutely top top player who I would cross the road to watch every single day of the week.

How are they able to sell him when they are under a transfer ban? Does anyone know how or why they are allowed to do this?

I thought they just aren't allowed to buy.Didn't know it also applied to selling players.

It doesn't.

They are not permitted to register new players. It is lazily called a transfer ban but the punishment is that they cannot register new signings to play. They could still buy players but not be able to register them until the ban is over. This registration ban has nothing to do with outgoing transfers like Hazard.

they just wont be able to replace him...

mad amount of money for someone with only one year left on their contract and who isn't exactly young. great player, but still.

He is 28, if he looks after himself he will play at the top for at least another 5 years. A class act, well worth paying decent money for.

no denying that but that sort of some is normally reserved either for someone in their early 20s or with loads of years on their contract. they could have him for free in a year.

Outstanding talent; takes punishment from defenders without too much complaint. Massive loss to the Premiership.

Reckon Giroud would have left if it wasn't for the transfer embargo.

So who is now the greatest player in the Premiership?

Salah, B Silva, van Dijk, Sane

Possibly one of the above, all at a similar level.

Real Madrid lost 7-3 to their rivals Athletico Madrid in a friendly yesterday, only two late goals saved them from their biggest ever defeat to them. Eden Hazard didn't get a look in but Diego Costa scored four for Athletico before being sent off.
