Re: And Wilkinson!!!
Craig I snapped their hands off when they offered me 2 years Clay the only one to sign. Wilkinson and Brophy will both be missed.

Re: And Wilkinson!!!
I didn't realise he was already 26, I thought he was younger. Really not fussed about this, I think Kemp is better suited to playing as RW and Wilkinson's lack of flexibility position wise meant he was only ever able to play that specific role. Has a lot of talent but didn't put in the graft with us to make the most of it. Dreadful in the air for a player of his size, not particularly quick nor strong and doesn't seem able to play as an out and out forward.

Re: And Wilkinson!!!
I may be naiive but I'm surprised that Wilko and DJ still wanted to leave, in spite of O's having a new and well known manager, clearly aiming for promotion. Did KJ let them know they weren't fitting too well into his plans, better off somewhere else, they were most likely to be bench warmers next season? If that was what he thought of our 'top' players, who's he hoping to bring in?

Re: And Wilkinson!!!
Talk about rats leaving a sinking ship, however not to worried about this one,Brophy more of a loss but it looks like the keeper may go now,and that would be a loss if it happens?

Re: And Wilkinson!!!
Pleased about this, a lazy player who didn't want to put himself about or work for the team. Would rather miss a shot than help a teammate to score and never tracked back either.
Brought in as a striker and decided to play himself out wide, part of why the team was so unbalanced last season stemmed from that.

Re: And Wilkinson!!!
I reckon most had made their mind up to go in the second half of the season. Their body language and attitude when they surrendered the chance of the play-offs and McAnuff's comments about them at the time gives a bit of an insight there imo.cymruO wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 3:37 pm I may be naiive but I'm surprised that Wilko and DJ still wanted to leave, in spite of O's having a new and well known manager, clearly aiming for promotion. Re: And Wilkinson!!!
Remember the Embleton interview where he said "Connor wants to play out wide". Player told the manager where he was playing.Ornchurch wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 4:48 pmDecided to play himself out wide?
