But the determining factor shouldn't be whether they are better than Ling at right back. It should be what attributes they have and what they offer to the team set-up that Jackett wants to play, as well as ideally being the best player available.

We could sign Birkbeck Orient's right back and have a better player than Ling afterall.

I liked Caprice and his attacking forays setting up loads of chances, but then many complained about his defending.

Yeah but caprice was playing as a full back.

By the way, worth remembering that Marsh is not a full back.

No. The last first team he played was for us against Cambridge United in March last year.

He played 14 games for Spurs (U-23 ) this season. Two goals, two assists and two red cards.

Assuming young George's letterbox is not crammed with offers from EFL clubs, he's probably feeling deep in the doldrums about now. Hard times having once been a first team regular at Orient.

I liked Marsh; thought he had something about him. Tended not to give the ball away too often and has got a football brain. Something to work on. Young, too. If you played against him, you would know you had been in a game.
