Why can't people speculate. It's what people do everyday in every aspect of life.

If club / family want people not to speculate, then they should have either not publicised the issue or put full story out.

One man's meat is another man's poison, I suppose.

What some see as solicitous concern, others might see as ghoulish rubbernecking.

We've all speculated, even if it's in our heads. As for the truth, not even a sniff of a rumour.

Why is it so IMPORTANT for People to know what exactly is wrong?

Are you planning to pick up the medication
he may need ?

Or if he has had the most serious form of kidney failure
Are you just wanting to be 1st in line to offer him your spare ?

Having held very senior positions in companies when someone is ill you dont go blurting it out around the office you keep it private and if the individual wants people to know they can tell people themselves.

Family comes first always have always will. Even though JE is a public and well known person he still has a right to privacy, his family the same, please respect that fact.

When his family want people to receive an update they will I'm sure release one through the club, until then please be mindful of your comments and let the man get better without endless speculation etc.

Let's turn your question around.

We live in a society where things are generally allowed unless specifically banned is a permissive culture

So, why is it so important to you to ban people from the harmless action of seeking to ask a harmless question?

You mean like issuing statements announcing the manager is I'll and issuing a follow up statement.

Perfect example of keeping it private

Lets turn your question back around

Why is it so important for a Families wishes to be respected .

IE please dont bother us while our dad/husband/brother/uncle/son is in Hospital .

We'll let you know what is going on when the time is right.
We are struggling to eat with worry we are struggling to do anything in life generally because 1 of the most important people to us on this planet really isnt very well. We know there are some really disingenuous people around but theyll just have to find something else to fill there sorry little lives, while we deal with trying to cope
with just crying & being helpless in such a situation, as we're just regular humans & not the saints who are helping all the sick people on the planet, The knots in our stomachs are being eased ever so slightly day by day but we are still very concerend .

The difficulty of the situation (outside of the obvious concerns for a man's health) is that as much as most of us would want to put the football side on hold until JE recovers the club doesn't really have that choice.

Sooner or later they'll have to start making arrangements that JE would normally be doing and at some point decide what happens next. A difficult and delicate situation for T&T to deal with where none of the options feel like the right one given the situation.

It's a horrible, horrible time and so cruel given the highs JE has worked so hard to achieve with us. I don't think it's people being maliciously nosey but a real deep felt concern for a manager who has done so much for the club in a short space of time.

more half stories ?

Either post the story or don't.

Publishing things like this results in inevitable speculation and people asking what its about

Part of modern culture. Because so much is in the public domain, we tend to forget there is such a thing as the private domain. There isn’t much that is more personal and private than serious illness.

I trust Justin is getting the very best care and hope to see him restored fully to health soon.
