If jobi is to become our new manager should he retain our current coaching team. If we bring in a new manager who would you like it to be.Sensible answers only please.

I don’t think there will be much response as the players are now basically on holiday. Think Jobi deserves the chance and will get it purely because he’s done ok and is also a cheap option. Personally I would get rid of all the coaches ( no need at this level)and just keep the Manager, assistant manager and chief scout. That way everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet plus they could afford one or two more playersOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:29 pm If there is no response on Saturday to the Southend shambles, I will be reviewing my thoughts on Jobi.
We have got to get away from being. a “nice little “ or “cosy” club. We have a great CEO in Danny Macklin who in my opinion what he has achieved on the financial side of the club with club sponsorship has been fabulous. I know Ling did wonders when the owners took over in getting a team ready in around 3 weeks. But on the coaching and players side at the moment it is “cosy”. A major overall in thinking is required NOW if we are to achieve the owners ambitions.Bluecap wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:47 pm Once again its the Orient thing we have so much respect for Jobi it most of us feel if he dont get the job we have let him down.
We are to nice deep down all of us would like a complete clear out of DOF Training staff and most of the playing staff.
That aint going to happen because as I say its the Nice little Leyton Orient thing.
It appears most fans dont worry about the football its meeting your mates for a day out.
If you want success you need a b*stard like Evans and we dont do that do we.
In our 140 year History , how many times have we "FAILED '?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 2:47 pm I don’t know what people expect. This is the exact same coaching set up that has failed twice before. Nothing is new. There are no new thoughts on approaching the game. Until we build a squad fit for how a manager wants to set his team up and not just buy a load of decent players that are available, we’ll be having the same debates.
Jackett will want 5k a week and his own back room staff.Jack wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:53 pm I've been torn. I like Jobi, but the football under him is frankly dire.
I would like a new manager, who would bring in his own staff, and who would be choosing his own players. There's going to have to be a lot of new signings in the summer, and the new man must have the ability to choose them himself.
We have too many coaches, and some of them must go too.
The new manager must have a promotion on his CV.
Kenny Jackett, or Richie Wellens, are two names very acceptable to me, both having promotions on their CV.
I realise Kenny won't come cheap, but it's time to get quality in the building.
If there is no response on Saturday I will just think that most of our players are sh*tOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:29 pm If there is no response on Saturday to the Southend shambles, I will be reviewing my thoughts on Jobi.
I think we are overloaded with the amount of coaches we have. Give Jobi the job and streamline the coaching staff. Put the money saved towards bringing in better quality playersmoonwalk19 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:19 pm If jobi is to become our new manager should he retain our current coaching team. Depends how serious the board are about promotion. I’m not saying he’s the answer but giving him good money and building a squad in his name will get us out of this league and pushing playoffs if not promotion in league 1. If a bigger club want him, then we end up getting a big fee to release him.Still wrong wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:57 pmJackett will want 5k a week and his own back room staff.Jack wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:53 pm I've been torn. Also a top 3 budget.
Now back to the real world.
So you expect Kent to stump up a load of cash so we can get promotion to a higher league where the attendances will be much the same but the wages will be higher?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 4:37 pmDepends how serious the board are about promotion. What were Embleton and Fletcher’s pay offs? A lot more than 5k a week I bet.

He can't be on much money at Southend, and presumably he will look to move on after the season ends.
He is experienced, had some good times and some bad
