I reckon if this ESL malarkey actually happens smaller clubs like ourselves could well benefit from disgruntled fans of Spurs, in our case, coming to watch us.
I’ve seen a few posts on Social media where unhappy Spurs fans have said that if there club joins the ESL they will come to E10.
Anybody else seen or heard anything like this ??

How is that a benefit? I don’t want to be sat with Spurs fans. Anyway, no way will they want to support a team playing in red.

In recent times Orient used to offer discounted entry to fans of Premier League London clubs who presented a season ticket or membership at the box office. I would have taken advantage with my Arsenal or Chelsea membership but for the Wanstead Guardian sending me 4 complimentary tickets.

Nothing worse than clubs luring other teams fans by beggimg for money .
Barry Hearn had no shame .
When the 160k fans with nowhere to go on a Saturday start buying up all the seats ,
Real O's fans could well be blocked out .

Errrrr...It’s a benefit ‘cos we would gain extra fans, and there are loads of fans of PL clubs who have Orient as their 2nd team.
Personally I don’t think the ESL will actually happen but let’s wAit and see.

Beelzebub was the owner at the time. Wanstead Guardian used to have a fortnightly competition to win 4 Orient tickets. I won every time I entered.

You were Probably the only one who did enter
BH used to do the same thing before you were an O's fan .
He Was known for handing out season tickets to wealthy Essex buisness people,
Even though he knew they followed other clubs .

I suspect I was
He gave my son a season ticket as well. Free season tickets for youths if I remember rightly.
Sadly my business was in London rather than Essex so I missed out. Also I was not exactly wealthy. Made more closing it down.

If they come and follow us they will still be disgruntled.

Can anyone please tell me how much money LOFC receives ‘from above’? I refer to the cascade of sponsorships and viewing revenues.
Thx

Supporters of more clubs being met with "who?, never heard of them", when you tell people who only watch the elite leagues who you support.
If it wasn't was for that FIFA computer game it would be far more not knowing who clubs like ours are.

I have a feeling that any benefit is outweighed numerous time by the financial issues its likely to cause.

Not sure what ‘financial issues’ you’re referring to.
The benefit I was thinking of, and is being mentioned on social media, is Danny Macklin selling more season tickets to disgruntled Spurs fans and hopefully increasing our fan base.
I’m not even sure this ESL proposal will happen and may be just a ploy to increase the big six’s TV revenue.

I don’t think there will be many disgruntled Spurs fans buying Orient season tickets. They have been disgruntled for 60 years and have not bothered so far. Also I doubt many Spurs season ticket holders live in the vicinity. Now had West Ham joined the Super League, it might be different but there wasn’t an influx when they left Upton Park.

Well there are quite a few people on Facebook talking about friends or relatives giving up on Spurs IF they join the ESL and coming to E10 instead to watch the O’s.
Anyway let’s see what happens and whether the ESL actually goes ahead.
