The way we played last night we don’t have a a cat in hells chance of reaching the play offs even if other teams drop points. Based on what we see last night we should have been beaten by at least 3goals by a team not won in 5 or 6 games. That’s not play off form.

I agree . I have a feeling Barrow will beat us on Saturday now that they have hit some good form . Considering some of the players we have we've underachieved this season . I still think Jobi's the man for the job but we're going to need a few upgrades in the Summer if the club really wants promotion .

He’s right, there was a nervousness and inexperience around our defending.

I wonder if anyone is able to work out why young Happe, young Akinola, young Hector and Ling and Brophy looked like that. I wonder if the experienced Turley, Widdowson and Cisse are able to answer that question?

People seem to think that getting to the playoffs gives us a chance of promotion. We could creep in but we'd get beaten comfortably by any of the teams in there.

I disagree, when youre in the play-offs anything is possible.

Absolutely
and in another thread a boarder gave the numbers that the team who finish in the last play-off place, are statistically more likely to win the play-offs than the other 3 teams. However, I still think we are going to - frustratingly - finish 2 points outside the play-offs.

Making the play-offs is the main target. Once you’re in the play-offs it’s basically a knockout competition and like the FA cup shows anything could happen.

And if, by some minor miracle, we did get into the playoffs, our form going into them would be incredible: surely the best out of any of the four teams in there.

To me results that led to winning 4 games the back 4 should be Akinola .Turley Happe and Widdowson.. Apparently Turley was rested last night . Not a lover of Ling with his 5 yard passing sideways and backwards. Widdowson allows Brophy to play more forward. Personally I thought Jobi selection last night was wrong . Kemp is better playing behind DJ. Very bad night considering we needed 3points

Cisse has got a slight injury . Turley needed a rest and Widdowson , no idea . Personally I would only play Brophy at LB if Widdowson was injured .

Ok, so if Turley needed resting (fair enough), and Cisse had a knock (fair enough), keep Widdowson in to give some continuity to the defensive line and keep a 4-2, don't push Clay and Jobi both ahead of young Hector.

Too many changes all at once.

On current form , I give us just 5pts from our remaining games
well short of the play-offs !
