At this time of year in the fields between our village and the next one, on the road to Greenock, there are hundreds of sheep and lambs.

For over 20 years when we drive by them Mrs Eva Gold or one of the kids always says "Awww look at the wee lambs". I immediately respond by licking my lips and making a loud slurping noise. They think I'm making some kind of sick joke.

Got half a leg of lamb in Tescos this morning £5.75 , just enough for me and the missus to enjoy on Sunday with roast potatoes and lashings of mint sauce 😋😋

Standard leg of lamb roast dinner for us - Welsh baa baa from a very good independent butcher in Haverfordwest. Might pick up some of their lovely “home-made” bangers too whilst I’m there.

Also looking forward to tucking into the chocolate eggs, which has to wait ‘til The Lord has risen “on the 3rd day” (much disputed timeline by biblical funda-mentals of course, but in our house).

Tuffers insert slits into the lamb and stuff it with garlic. On a chopping board lay out the lamb and smoother it in virgin oil sprinkle out some herbs salt and pepper and then roll the lamb out through the mix.

When cooked you have a nice hint of garlic through the meet and a nice flavoured crust on the outside.

Never boring, very delicious.

Have done this with sprigs of rosemary joining the garlic in the slits. Don't forget to make your own gravy.

Ireland has officially sold out of Easter Eggs.
Not one to be had. There was millions of them last weekend.
Some sort of lock down binging
